After watching my "My Sister’s Keeper" — and of course crying just like we'd promised on Friday — our memories of Nick Cassavetes' other major tearjerker, the now-classic love story, "The Notebook," resurfaced. We were planning to watch "Notebook" again soon, but luckily got a slight Noah and Allie fix when we noticed Rachel McAdams was filming a new movie on the streets of New York City.
Yesterday morning, Rachel, who was looking more professional than ever, shot scenes with co-star Harrison Ford for the new movie, "Morning Glory." The comedy, which centers on a female news producer who hires a hot-headed anchorman to revive a failing morning show, won't be out until next year, but you can catch the actress in "The Time Traveler's Wife" on August 14. With the release of "Time Traveler’s Wife,” which highlights a love story that we've already compared to "The Notebook," many may think Rachel will always be seen as the face of all heart-wrenching love stories. But don’t limit this talented A-Lister just yet.
For "Morning Glory," Rachel has swapped her younger, more playful image for a sophisticated big city look — it's kind of like what she's done with her career. She's come a long way from "Mean Girls" and is now starring alongside very seasoned and respected actors like Robert Downing Jr. (in "Sherlock Holmes"), Eric Bana (in "Time Traveler's Wife") and now Harrison Ford.
What do you think of Rachel's look for "Morning Glory"?
