As part of the Class of '09 Week festivities at MTV News, we've already doled out superlatives to a few of our "Twilight" faves, including Robert Pattinson, who scored "Picture Perfect" (obviously) and Kristen Stewart, whose Golden Popcorn-fumbling acceptance speech at the MTV Movie Awards sealed her fate as "Biggest Klutz." So it's only fair that we show a little love to the lady who started it all: "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer.
With a big smile and even bigger hair, the dazzling class of '92 grad posed for this senior-year portrait at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. Stephenie is just one of our favorite celebs caught in their early years in our yearbook pic collection. Read more...

Watch out, Suri and Shiloh. You might have some new competition for the "Cutest Baby Ever" golden bottle. People is reporting that supermodel Gisele Bündchen and her New England Patriots quarterback husband Tom Brady are expecting their first child together early next year.
The photogenic couple, who tied the knot in February, have seemingly been fighting off pregnancy rumors since their relationship began in late 2006. As recently as last month, Tom, who already has a nearly 2-year-old son with actress Bridget Moynahan, denied he and Gisele were expecting. "One is enough," Tom told reporters. "I have dogs and that's all I need." Read more...

Vampires and professional basketball players? Robert Pattinson and Kobe Bryant? Here at MTV News, we don’t always have an opportunity to connect the worlds of blood-sucking immortals and jump-shooting All-Stars. But when “Twilight” star Ashley Greene hit the red carpet to celebrate at the Club Nokia party for the newly crowned NBA champion LA Lakers, the 22-year-old actress detailed the parallels between the two vaunted franchises.
“Our cast works really hard,” said Greene, who recently returned from the Vancouver shoot for “New Moon.” “We all work really well together. We’re kind of like a family. The Lakers are kind of the same.”
After dropping only one game to the Orlando Magic during the Finals, the Lakers secured their fourth championship this decade and the fourteenth in franchise history (second only to the Boston Celtics). And from the books, to the movies, to the DVD and beyond, the “Twilight” series has blossomed into one of pop culture’s reigning champs. Read more...

"High School Musical" starlet Vanessa Hudgens is rocking out another tune these days: Her upcoming movie "Bandslam." In the high school flick, the former Wildcat joins a fledgling rock group, which was formed by a geek (newcomer Gaelan Connell) and a popular girl (Aly Michalka) in the hopes of winning the school's battle of the bands. The movie isn't out until August 14, so if you can't wait until then, press play below for an exclusive first look. You won't want to miss checking out Vanessa's guitar skills (or the band's performance of "I Can’t Go On, I’ll Go On”), which she learned specifically for the film. Wonder if she's given Zac Efron any lessons...

FROM MOVIES BLOG: Earlier this week, I joked about how every week seems to bring a new project for Leonardo DiCaprio. He has officially been beaten by “Twilight” veteran Cam Gigandet, who seems to snag a new project every single day. The latest finds him in Oscar-winning company, as Variety reports that Gigandet will join Adrien Brody, Elijah Wood and Forest Whitaker in “The Experiment.”
“The Experiment” will be directed by Paul Scheuring (”Prison Break”) from his own screenplay. It’s a remake of the 2001 German film “Das Experiment,” which centers on a group of ordinary men recruited to take part in a psychological research study. They’re divided up and put into prison. Some land jobs as guards, others are locked up as prisoners, all with the intent of studying how they react to their assigned roles, and to positions of power and control.

Evan Rachel Wood got her start in Hollywood at the age of 6 with the CBS miniseries "American Gothic," so the actress has had quite a while to perfect her style in front of celebrity photographers. Her looks are typically eclectic and sophisticated, and when MTV News had a chance to chat with Wood while she was promoting her new comedy “Whatever Works,” we wanted to ask the star to analyze a few of her most memorable dresses.
“I kind of like incorporating old Hollywood and rock and roll together, and taking classic things and putting a spin on it and making it slightly edgier,” the 21-year-old told us.
When it comes time to hit the red carpet, Wood works with celebrity stylist Samantha McMillen. “I’ve been working with her for years, and she just knows my style so well now that she always picks out these amazing dresses."
Check out the video below to see Wood talk about her stunning Oscar dress this year, how she uses jewelry to dress up simple looks, and why she once rocked a “couture ‘Beetlejuice’ dress.”
What do you think of Wood's style? Which other young actresses strike your fashion fancy?

FROM MTV.COM: According to multiple sources, "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson was grazed by a taxi this afternoon in New York while filming his upcoming drama "Remember Me." The "Twilight" star was reportedly fleeing from hysterical fans at the time of the near-accident.
RadarOnline.com is claiming to have witnessed it all, saying that he was "clipped" by the cab as it zoomed past him in front of the Strand Bookstore on Broadway and 12th Street. Pattinson had been inside the bookstore for most of the morning shooting "Remember Me" — a film about two young lovers dealing with family tragedies — and when he emerged from the bookstores, swarms of fans descended upon him. As five security guards tried to escort RPattz across the street in the rain, the taxi grazed the actor.

Romance is difficult enough without worrying about how he (or she!) might pop the question. While a clumsy and comedic proposal could be the story you laugh about when you're older, a disastrous one has the power to destroy your relationship for good.
No proposal could be uglier than the one Sandra Bullock offers to Ryan Reynolds in this weekend's romantic comedy, "The Proposal." While you have to give props to a girl willing to take matters into her own hands and get down on one knee, I'm not sure that it's a good thing to wield power in order to secure a marriage license. I suspect that that Bullock's bitter road to citizenship leads to marital bliss, you might be in the mood for commitments that are a little less power hungry.
So here's five of my favorite movie marriage proposals — and while I wish I had one that was a girl-power counter to "The Proposal," I confess to thinking it's more fun to see the boys do all the ring-offering work. Read more...

Guess what time it is! Time again to sift through the 140-characters-or-less rants and raves of our fave celebs. Today, an actress had a burning "Hangover" question, an actor kicked it at the DMV and a musician had an itch he couldn't scratch.
And just a friendly reminder, there are only a few hours left to help Peter Facinelli (@peterfacinelli ) reach 500,000 followers and become eligible to win his "Twilight" director's chair back.
Take a look at who tops our Tweet Dreams list for Thursday, June 18, 2009. Read more...
