Michael WelchFROM MTV.COM: When Robert Pattinson was grazed by a moving taxicab recently, the news rocked legions of "Twilight" fans who feared for their favorite actor's life. His series co-star Michael Welch, however, was surprised to hear the news when he sat down with MTV News on Tuesday.

"No," marveled the actor, who plays Mike Newton in the films. "You are how I stay in touch with this stuff."

Once we briefed Mike on the recent near-tragedy, the affable actor expressed concern for RPattz's health — and a hope that the star's skyrocketing fame crests soon.

Forget "Who Moved My Cheese?" It appears Audrina Patridge is drawing career advice from a much hotter source: The pages of Paris Hilton's playbook.

The 24-year-old "Hills" star has been making some savvy career choices lately, landing a role in the upcoming horror flick "Sorority Row" and a sexy spot in a Carl's Jr. ad. But it feels oddly familiar.

Four years ago, the hotel heiress landed her own role in a horror flick, 2005's "House of Wax," where, like Audrina, she also met an untimely end. And that same year, Paris raised eyebrows by donning a barely-there one-piece to suds up a car in her own Carl's Jr. ad. But the similarities don't end there. Press play on our video below to see the evidence and judge for yourself. Are Audrina and Paris morphing into the same person?

Stephanie PrattBy Daniela Capistrano

Our favorite celebrity tweeple were all about the spirit of giving today by making up for past misdeeds, championing causes, offering advice and — of course — promoting their own pet projects.

Demi Moore gave kudos for her and the hubby's current campaign to support Feeding America. Perez Hilton, who is currently embroiled in his own controversy over a spat with Will.I.Am, offered sage wisdom to Miley Cyrus, who from today's Tweets seemed introspective. Among other pearls from Perez, "Don't be scared of tomorrow" was suggested. Is the "Queen of all Media" trying to steal shine from Dr. Phil?

Meanwhile, Pink felt it necessary to warn hydrophes not to watch Shark Week if they ever plan on getting into the ocean again.

Here's a roundup of some of the more memorable celeb tweets for Wednesday, June 24, 2009. If we missed anything, send us a message on Twitter (@hollywoodcrush), and don't forget to follow us while you’re at it! Read more...

Jennifer LopezBy Haley Murphy

While Jennifer Lopez is staying busy filming her new movie, "The Back-Up Plan," and recording songs for her first album since "Brave" was released in 2007, not everything in her empire is still going full steam ahead. We recently found out her Sweetface line has been temporarily nixed and will no longer be available in the States. The company said in a statement, “In light of new company strategies, we have decided to put the Sweetface line on hiatus while we prepare to reintroduce the brand in the near future with new messaging points and an entirely new fashion point of view.”

Jennifer's not the only celebrity to put a big screech on their fashion line this year. Back in March, Lauren Conrad decided to put her Lauren Conrad Collection on hold (though later she announced she would, instead, be turning her creative focus toward a line for Kohl's). In February, Mandy Moore’s Mblem label was also shut down. Read more...

Mark ZuckerbergAs Facebook didn't already consume hours of my time, now I can spend a couple more (and $12) to see the story of its inception brought to the big screen. "The Social Network," based on the soon-to-be released "Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal" by Ben Mezrich, tells the story of the site's creation in 2004 by then-Harvard sophomore Mark Zuckerberg (pictured, right). News that David Fincher ("The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Fight Club") is in talks to direct the tale, got us wondering who would be the best Mark for the movie. Here are Hollywood Crush's top five nominees.

Fincher, we hope you're paying attention ...
Jesse Eisenberg
1.Jesse Eisenberg

The 25-year-old "Adventureland" star's familiar mop-top and "I'd love to do your math homework" vibe make him one of our front-runners. And, like Mark, Jesse was raised in New York by a Jewish family. Read more...

Vampire Diaries

Sorry, it's hard not to discuss anything vampire-related without comparing it to "Twilight." Even the star of the CW's upcoming "The Vampire Diaries," Ian Somerhalder, admits they probably owe the show's green light to the popularity of those other vamps. But I think it's a little tedious to fuel the fires of yet another rivalry by saying why L.J. Smith's novels — the first four of which were published in 1991-1992; the most recent, "The Return: Nightfall," came out this February — are better or worse than Stephenie Meyer's creations.

So, for this week's Book Report, here are five reasons why both Twilighters and Twi-haters will enjoy "The Vampire Diaries." (Check back here later for my review of the CW's new show, and don't forget to share your own reviews in the comments section below.) Read more...

Vanessa HudgensFROM MTV.COM: Vanessa Hudgens won the hearts of tweens everywhere as Gabriella in the "High School Musical" movies, and she's set to do it again this summer when her new film, "Bandslam," hits theaters. But these days Hudgens is taking a break from singing to focus solely on acting.

"It's great! I mean, I love musicals, I really do," she told MTV News on the set of her new (non-musical) film, "Beastly." "I grew up doing them, so it'll always have a place in my heart ... at the same time, it's nice to be able to separate the two and just be able to focus on films. It's a lot of fun playing different characters and taking on new journeys."

Katherine HeiglIf there's one genre Katherine Heigl just can't stay away from, it's the one with all the hearts and flowers. It doesn't matter if she's "Knocked Up," or finding "The Ugly Truth," or loving a hitman in "Five Killers." In the end, her cinematic self is always on the hunt for Mr. Right. Her latest project, "Life as We Know It," is really no exception, except that it veers to the dramatic, and away from the raunchy comedy.

According to Variety, "Life" has been kicking around a few studios before finally finding a home with Warner Bros., and landing a leading lady and producer in Ms. Heigl. It centers on two single adults who have their worlds turned upside down when their mutual and married best friends die in a car accident, and name them as caregivers for their orphaned daughter. Two single adults with a new child to care for? I sense that love will spring from that sad situation! Read more...

Lip VenomAttention "Twilight" shoppers. We hope you're saving your pennies, because there's even more movie-themed merch coming your way. Earlier this week, Mattel unveiled its Barbie and Ken versions of our beloved Bella and Edward, then just yesterday we got a sneak peek at the movie tie-in book cover for "New Moon." The latest entrant in the "Twilight" product pantheon, however, might just be my favorite: "Twilight" makeup!

According to Grazia Daily, DuWop cosmetics — the same brand the "New Moon" makeup artists used on set — is launching its own "Twilight" line, and the first item to come out of the lab is a limited-edition preview of Lip Venom V, the "Twilight" version of its popular lip-plumping gloss.
