A stunning Katy Perry makes a cameo on the cover of the August issue of Cosmopolitan rocking a classy purple dress and sweet smirk to debut her delicious summer style. The 24-year-old pop goddess, who originally began her career as a Christian artist, is not only mixing up the music scene, but she has taken over the fashion world by storm.
From her funky hair pieces to her ever-changing bright lips, Katy is influencing a new style. She's has been a fashion icon since she first hit the music scene with her single, "I Kissed a Girl" and has most recently become the face of an edgy H&M campaign.
On the set of the Cosmo shoot, Katy brought in her spunky style while rocking out to Lindsay Lohan’s "Bossy" and posing it up in five-inch stiletto heels. In the issue, Katy explains how she was broke and on the brink of giving up before her life took a different turn, and now she is set on owning the place. "I gave myself until 25 to make it. And if it didn't happen, I thought I'd just try to find a husband," she recalled.
Well, looks like romance took a backseat because the artist has put all of her focus on her career. "I sacrifice in my love life and social life, but those things will be there in three or four years," she said. "This is a really important time in my life. I can't just be the girl who sang 'I Kissed A Girl.' I have to leave a legacy."
