“The Ugly Truth” star, Katherine Heigl, really glams up the cover of InStyle magazine's August issue in a Roberto Cavalli gown. Not only does she keep it real with readers about her personality and style, she also gives us some words of advice when it comes to the real world.
When asked about celebrity stylists, Katherine had a simple answer: "I want to look in the mirror and go, 'I feel like the best version of myself." Katherine also lets us know that she’s not holding her tongue for anybody because in the end, it’s crazy to not be honest with yourself just because you’re worried about what someone else might think. "Preposterous" is definitely the perfect word of choice for her to use in that instance!
While flipping through her filmography, we can see that Katherine is also one to play very realistic roles on screen. After accidentally getting “Knocked Up” by Seth Rogen, getting played for a headline news story in “27 Dresses,” and getting cancer on “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Ugly Truth” doesn’t seem far from a role we’d like to see Katherine in. Of the R rating given to "Ugly Truth," the actress explained to InStyle,“You're probably going to drop the F-bomb once in a while. You’re probably going to say some things that are kind of harsh. And you’re definitely going to talk about sex ... That’s my problem with a lot of romantic comedies: Everyone spends so much time trying to make sure it’s the fairytale because that’s what the rating calls for.”
Lastly, Katherine lets us know that we need to be diligent in pursuit and application with the things we want out of life. "Be specific and be creative and define not only what you want in your career but what you want in your personal life," she advised, adding, “Life's not worth living because this happened or that happened to me. It's always worth living, and living well."
What do you think of Katherine's cover and inside story?
