The next time your parents tell you to put down "Twilight" and study, tell them to suck it (vampire pun intended). Thanks to a new vocabulary workbook, which was released today, the Cullen coven can help you master the intricacies of the English language. (They don't have a wall full of tassels and mortarboards for nothin'!)
"Defining Twilight: Vocabulary Workbook for Unlocking the SAT, ACT, GED, and SSAT" by Brian Leaf turns Stephenie Meyer's vampire tome into a bloody good vocabulary tool, teaching you the meaning of 600 words (think: chiseled, alabaster, ochre, etc.) culled from the pages of the novel. In addition to straight vocabulary, the workbook also covers synonyms, Latin word parts and memorization tools.
The study guide is available on Amazon.com for only 10 smackers, with a follow-up, "Defining New Moon," due out in October.
As someone who took the SATs many moons ago, this "Twilight"-themed guide almost makes me wish I could retake the test. Almost.
Will you be using "Defining Twilight" for your next standardized test?
