We here at Hollywood Crush have "Harry Potter" fever and it's even taking over our weekly Hump Day Hottie feature. This week we are honoring "Half-Blood Prince" up-and-coming star, Freddie Stroma. Let's not forget "Harry Potter" is the franchise that launched a thousand swoons when they put Robert Pattinson on the screen, and we imagine that with Freddie's work in "Half-Blood Prince," he might now be the hottest wizard on the block.
Press play below to see the full evidence of Freddie's alarmingly good looks (yep, we even got our paws on his headshots!) and then keep reading after the jump to learn more about the newcomer.
Vital stats: The 22-year-old London native got his start modeling. And, with his dimples and lovely blond locks we imagine that the U.K. native will start winning hearts stateside thanks to his role as Cormac McLaggen in "Harry Potter," but with all the popularity that comes with the role, Freddie isn't sure he's prepared for it.
"Insanely overwhelming. Really, really strange," he told MTV News at the "Half-Blood Prince" NYC premiere about all the attention he's getting thanks to the role. "You expect it but nothing can prepare you for it."
Where you might have already seen him: He's done some modeling and a few smaller roles in smaller movies like "Lady Godiva" and "Last Flight to Kuwait," but "Harry Potter" is his real big break. Fittingly, getting the role in "Harry Potter" is a lucky break, so it makes sense that his favorite spell is the liquid luck spell. "I do like the liquid luck," he said. "That's pretty good and you don’t have to do much."
Why you should take notice of him now: He plays caddy Cormac in "Half-Blood" and is sure to stand out as one of Hermoine's love interests in the flick — a role that Freddie happily took on. "That was fun," he said. "It's fun to do the comedy stuff and play that slimy, horrible guy."
Also, Freddie doesn't seem to get intimidated too easily, having joined the "Potter" cast six movies in and is already feeling at home with the cast. "They’ve been working for so long together and you're very anxious… and they're so lovely," he said. "All of them. So it was such a joy working with them!"
As it turns out our Hump Day Hottie does have a girlfriend of two and a half years, but just in case you still want to picture him dancing around in his underwear (we know you all do!), then check out the insanely funny YouTube video of him that popped up online.
If Freddie's good looks weren't enough to get you through your Wednesday, then make sure to click on the photo below to see our collection of past Hump Day Hotties. Collect them all!
