Channing Tatum's got one understanding bride. After cutting into his Australian honeymoon with promotional duties (He was quoted as saying, "I am on honeymoon but not at the moment. We'll pick that up after the promotion work is done.") the newlywed once again left wife Jenna Dewan's side to pose for "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" publicity shots today in London. He's pictured below with (from left to right) costars Dennis Quaid, Karolina Kurkova, director Stephen Sommers, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols and Marlon Wayans.
Fittingly enough, the photocall had a decidedly military feel, with the cast vogueing atop the HMS Belfast, a decommissioned Royal Navy cruiser from World War II. Several stars even arrived (or departed. Or, both — it's hard to tell) in speedboat flanked by camouflaged soldiers. It doesn't appear that the men of "G.I. Joe" radioed ahead to coordinate their outfits. While Channing and Marlon were dressed to impress, director Stephen and Dennis kept it a bit more casual. Channing looked ready for a fashion battle in a white button-up paired with a sleek black vest while Marlon looked rather dashing in a black suit over a purple shirt and tie. Noticeably absent (and sorely missed) from the men's lineup was Joseph Gordon-Levitt who plays villain Cobra Commander in the August 7 release. Where are you, JGL?
Much like the men, the G.I. Janes were also a bit of a fashion grab bag. Model Karolina cleverly concealed her baby bump in a red and black striped mini dress with a strategically placed ruffle skirt (click on the photo below to see a full photo), while redhead Rachel looked all business in a gray wool sheath dress. Sienna seemed to be the only one channeling the military theme with her gold-buttoned shirt and high-waisted gray trousers.
With a few weeks left until the U.S. "G.I. Joe" premiere, we hope we'll get to see more of the daper Dennis we're used to, and we're definitely excited to see more Channing, even if he'll be wearing a shirt.
What do you think of the "G.I. Joe" photocall?
