Another warm Wednesday in July and you're thinking to yourself who is this week's Hump Day Hottie? Well, in honor of the beginning of Comic-Con 2009, we named "Legion" actor Lucas Black our hunk this week. Sure, you may not automatically think hot guys when you think of comic-book gatherings (er, well, we know you do think of hot vampires), but think again. If guys like Lucas Black prove anything, it's that the land of the fanboys (i.e. Comic-Con) should not be overlooked.
So, let's get to know this hot guy a little better, shall we? Press play on the video below for our ode to Mr. Black and continue to learn all about him after the jump.
Vital stats: Born 26 years ago in Alabama, this country boy left his sweet home of Alabama behind to find fame in Hollywood, including parts in several critically acclaimed films.
Where you might have already seen him: He made his movie debut in 1994 in Kevin Costner's "The War" and has continued to fight on ever since. You may have heard of a few of his other films, too, like "Sling Blade," "Ghosts of Mississippi," "Cold Mountain" and "Jarhead." So, if he's proved anything, it's that he knows to attach his name to quality.
Why you should take notice of him now: He recently starred in the testosterone flick, "Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift" and has two films lined up including "Get Low" and "Legion," which he'll be promoting at Comic-Con (along with MTV News) in San Diego this week. In the dark flick, Black stars alongside Dennis Quaid and Paul Bettany all must save the mesiah in a post-apocalyptic world. Intense. But, we wouldn't mind being one of the last people on Earth with him.
