We've hinted that we'd love to see a "Twilight" star suck some O-negative on the set of "True Blood," but we never thought a Forks-Bon Temps crossover would happen so soon! Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, dazzling Edward (Robert Pattinson) and gentlemanly Bill (Stephen Moyer) are joining forces (well, at least to share a cover).
Inside, the mag talked with some of our favorite vampire authors, including Anne Rice, Charlaine Harris and Stephenie Meyer, about why the undead are so darn appealing.
For "Interview With the Vampire" author Anne, it's all about the possibility of being turned. "I think people are intrigued by what they would do if they were offered the opportunity to be a vampire," she said. "Would they be willing to drink human blood in order to be immortal? Maybe they would.”

For "True Blood" creator Alan Ball, it's all about fun (with a dash of politics thrown in for seasoning). “The traditional vampire story, with monsters and victims, chases and chills, is more plain fun,” he said. “But they can often reveal the general state of the cultural psyche.”
Surprisingly, one author who wasn't so sure about diving into the coffin was "Twilight" writer Stephenie, who told EW she refused to show her husband the first draft of her novel. “I was embarrassed,” she said. “It was about vampires.” We're certainly glad she mustered up the courage to show her publisher!
What do you think of RPattz and Stephen Moyer on the EW cover?
