Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen By Haley Murphy

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were two of the 31 new fashion designers invited into the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America last night for their fashion lines "The Row" and "Elizabeth and James." Both lines embody the young starlets' bohemian-chic look and capture their unique taste. The Row line is named after Saville Row, a shopping street in London, and consists of custom-made luxe clothing with most pieces consisting of darker colors and fur. Elizabeth and James, however, is named after their younger siblings and has more of a hip contemporary look.

The "Full House" duo were invited into the CDFA by the group’s President — and "Hills" guest star — Diane Von Furstenberg. The CFDA is a not-for-profit trade association, which consists of of more than 350 of America’s foremost fashion and accessory designers. Read more...

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in The Notebook Duke wasn't bluffing when he told Allie their love could do anything. It seems that now includes immortalizing their story on the stage. The 2004 Nicholas Sparks weeper that made stars out of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams may be Broadway bound.

Casting begins next month for a Wilmington, NC-based workshop of a musical version of "The Notebook," produced by "One Tree Hill" actress Bethany Joy Galeotti and musician Ron Aniello, with the intention of eventually moving the production to New York City. Read more...

First Lady Michelle Obama continues to flaunt a style that's so noteworthy, it's probably got as many Internet mentions as the healthcare system lately. On Tuesday, at a celebration of country music at The White House, she debuted a new haircut thereby adding her to the list of President's wives who change up their hair only to have it talked about it length (no pun intended) afterward. Paging: Hillary Clinton!

While her new do is very fresh for summer — and will most likely sweep across the nation as the new hairstyle to have — it sort of reminded us of a look a certain A-list actor's wife has already sported. Does anyone else see the resemblance between the First Lady and Katie Holmes’ tresses circa 2008 (when she and her daughter, Suri, had mommy-and-me hairstyles)?

The Jonas BrothersA slew of celebs from Christian Siriano to Sarah Silverman became a part of an apparent viral marketing campaign today when they Tweeted the question "who is sliimy?" Upon further Google, we discovered Sliimy is a quirky French singer who recently released a mellow cover of Britney Spears' "Womanizer." Problem solved!

In other Twitter happenings, a singer contemplated the full moon (as opposed to the "New Moon"), an actor made faces at Roger Ebert, and a band of brothers unleashed their inner plushies.

Demi Lovato and Trace CyrusFROM MTV.COM: Trace Cyrus has confirmed that he and Demi Lovato have broken up.

Miley's older brother told People magazine that he and the Disney starlet, who released the album Here We Go Again on Tuesday (July 21), have put an end to their romance because of age and distance.

"Demi is one of my good friends, and I definitely became very, very close with her in the past few months, and it's something I really wanted to make work. But unfortunately, we both have very busy schedules — we're both on tour right now," said Cyrus, who is the lead singer of Metro Station.

January Jones on Interview By Haley Murphy

Golden Globe Nominee January Jones has taken a break from Betty Draper's prim and proper ways to cut loose — and get majorly hair-sprayed — for the August cover of Interview magazine (see the full image after the jump). In it, she talks about everything from her role on “Mad Men” to her view of Hollywood.

January was not named after the month she was born in (even though she was born January 5th), but rather her parents named her after the main character in Jacqueline Susann's novel, “Once Is Not Enough.” She joked that her name gave her the options of being “an actress, superhero, or stripper.” Read more...

JigsawForget all those Nikki Reed-Robert Pattinson rumors (and while you're at it Ashley Greene and Adrian Grenier, too) — these days the rumor mill is linking up Nikki Reed with Paris Hilton's ex, Greek shipping heir, Paris Latsis.

Yep ... You read that right.

E! Online reports that Nikki and Paris are now dating. "They met about six months ago and have been together since. The reason she traveled over to Greece was to be with [Paris]," a source tells E!. Read more...

Caridee, Leelee and RachelWith actress Mischa Barton hospitalized for undisclosed "medical issues," producers of her new CW series "Beautiful Life" are readying a Plan B pending Mischa's return to good health.

Instead of replacing the ailing actress, producers are casting an additional recurring character — tentatively named Jane — who will be similar to Mischa's model character Sonja Stone. Presumably producers will turn the series' focus toward Jane if Mischa must bow out. With shooting resuming next week, casting directors have probably began pulling their hair out trying to fill the role. That's where we come in! Hollywood Crush is here to help with a few names to compete in the sure-to-be-heated walk off. Keep reading after the jump to find out who. Hint: We think this is quite the perfect time for an "O.C." reunion! Read more...

Prince of PersiaFROM MOVIES BLOG: I suppose "defy the future" is better than "desecrate the past." Or "raise hell in the present." We have here the shiny, new one-sheet for Jerry Bruckheimer's video game-turned-movie "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time." Rather than strike out in a new direction, a Ubisoft's 2008 entry in the series did, "Sands" is a proper adaptation of 2003's 3-D rendered reboot of the franchise.

The story follows a street urchin named Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) who is adopted as the king's heir as a way to prevent the ruler's biological sons from jockeying for the position. In addition to jealous siblings, Dastan must also contend with a Nizam (Ben Kingsley), a nobleman who has some dastardly plans of his own. Dastan's chief ally is Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton), who joins him in trying to find the time-twisting Sands of Time before Nizam can.

JGL and Zooey Deschanel The delightful (anti) romantic comedy "500 Days of Summer" opened in limited release this past weekend, and we're guessing that thanks to its magnetic charm — and, of course, our list of reasons why you shouldn't miss it — a bunch of you are now aboard the same fan wagon we are.

And, if that fan wagon has anything to do with the utterly enchanting wardrobe Zooey Deschanel sports throughout the movie, then you've come to the right place! We caught up with the brain's behind the operation, costume designer Hope Hanafin, for an exclusive interview about dressing Zooey's hopelessly unromantic Summer — yes, we also noticed that she was always in shades of blue. Keep reading after the jump to find out why. Read more...
