Watch out Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron has a new leading lady — at least in his new flick, that is. Amanda Crew has signed on to star opposite the "High School Musical" heartthrob in his flick, "The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Amanda will have the lucky task of playing Zac's love interest in the flick about a cemetery caretaker (Zac) who plays with the ghost of his young brother who he thinks died because of him. In the graveyard, he also meets a young woman (Amanda), who is believed to be lost in a sailing accident.
Zac, who took the role as a way to move out of the musicals genre, has been busy shooting the flick and last week photos appeared online of the pair on set together. As for the 23-year-old actress, who grew up in Canada, her film resume includes "The Haunting in Connecticut," "She's The Man" and "Sex Drive."
So, are you excited to see Efron get serious in this film? Or, did you want to see him get "Footloose"?

On MTV's brand new web show “What Were U Thinking?” celebs get shown five of their best and worst fashion choices from over the years and are forced to answer that exact question, “What were you thinking?” The first episode has MTV’s favorite former bad girl Kelly Osbourne, who’s gone through some majorly questionable looks over the years — remember her crazy matchy-matchy hot pink hair and dress shirt combo from the MTV Movie Awards in 2002? Luckily Kelly admits in the show that she “was one of those girls who got it wrong a lot.”
But one moment in the show has us wondering if Kelly isn’t such a big fan of Katy Perry. Kelly, when critiquing her third look, a Care Bear-inspired Heatherette dress from 2004, says “I think I would wear the dress again, but not like that. It just looks a bit Katy Perry.” Is Kelly, who has put her foot in her mouth more than a few times over the years by dissing everyone from the Backstreet Boys to Lady Gaga, now taking a light swipe at the “Waking up in Vegas” singer? Or was it just an innocent comment? Check out the show above and tell us what you think! Read more...

If you're hot, British and get cast in one of the "Twilight" flicks it seems like you're bound to be the next big heartthrob. Are we right Robert Pattinson? And, that seems likely as well for Jamie Campbell Bower, who like RPattz, not only will star in a "Twilight" flick (he plays Volturi member Caius in "New Moon" ), but also has a role in the franchise that launched Robert's career, "Harry Potter" (he's taking on Gellert Grindelwald in "Deathy Hallows" parts 1 and 2).
So, is Jamie ready for all eyes to focus on him? The answer is yes … though he may use his newfound fame to be wicked. "It's good," he said of all the attention he's been getting lately. "I think I might use that, in a bad way." Press play below to hear more about what Jamie had to say about joining "New Moon" and what his first Comic-Con experience was like.

Late last night, Summit Entertainment sent out a "breaking news" press release which announced that Bryce Dallas Howard would we taking over for Rachelle Lefevre as the character of Victoria in the third movie in the Saga, "Eclipse." "Rachelle, who portrayed the character in 'Twilight' as well as the upcoming release of 'New Moon,' will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made," the release said.
Bryce, who is a member of a mini- Hollywood dynasty (her father is an actor and an Academy Award winning director, her grandparents were actors and her godfather is none other than "The Fonz" from "Happy Days," Henry Winkler), made her big-screen debut in 2004's "Book of Love." Her breakout role, though, came that same year in M. Night Shyamalan's thriller, "The Village." Most recently the 28-year-old was seen in "Terminator Salvation" and you may remember her as the girl who almost stole Peter Parker from Mary Jane in 2007' "Spider-Man 3." She's had success on the small screen, too: She was nominated for a Golden Globe for the 2006 HBO film, "As You Like It." Read more...

With Comic-Con and Joe Jonas’ broken heart behind us (don’t worry Joe, we’re still here for you) the Twitterverse moved on to new topics, such as Ashley Tisdale’s new record Guilty Pleasure, which came out today (and gave us reason to applaud the star for having a big week — her movie, "Aliens in the Attic" also debuts on Friday). Ashley boasted on her page, "The album is at #2 on the itunes charts!!! Aahhh! Let's bring it to number 1!!!!”, meanwhile Drew Seeley gave her some love, Tweeting, “Everyone support my friend…today and pick up her album!,” as did her "Aliens" costar Carter Jenkins who put the album on his to-do list.
That wasn’t the only question on celebs’ minds today; Nicole Richie asked, “Who’s going to NO DOUBT tonight?” and Lo Bosworth wondered, “Who takes a taxi during the day in LA? I do! At least today...haha.” Meanwhile, Tyra Banks (pictured) decided to dish out advice to guys that involved Vaseline.
Check out what other celebs were pondering today below, and while you’re at it, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter @hollywoodcrush! Read more...

Hilary Duff's Femme for DKNY Jeans line doesn't hit racks until next month, but thanks to an ad campaign featuring the Duffster herself, we're getting a sneak peek at a few of the urban chic items.
Hilary told Nylon magazine that her inspiration for the line was "just normal girls. I’ll be walking down the street and think, oh she looks cute! Especially being in New York is nice, because everyone has such unique styles. And it’s not people who have a ton of money or have a huge closet, but it’s people wearing what they love and having a unique way of putting it together." Read more...

Although there's still some time before Kevin Jonas and his fiancée, Danielle Deleasa, head down the aisle, it doesn't mean the other Jonas Brothers aren't scrambling to get picked to be the oldest JoBro's best man.
"I want it," Joe recently told Kiss108 FM. "I'll be the best best man ever," but he added that he, as well as Nick and their little brother Frankie, are "cool" with whomever Kevin decides to be at his side on his big day.
Joe's open campaign for the job, got us to wondering, what it would look like if he did get picked by Nick:

Ashley Tisdale didn't really like kissing Zac Efron. You see she thought it was pretty gross when she had to kiss America's Teen Heartthrob when he made a cameo on Ashley's Disney show, "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody."
But if you think she's crazy for feeling this way, her reasoning for having such strong feelings about kissing Zac are viable. She sees him as brother. Well, that seems fair enough. But, we kind of find it hard to believe that she wasn't too upset when she didn't have to kiss her "Aliens in the Attic" co-star, Robert Hoffman. Read more...

Sure, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (deservedly) get the bulk of "Twilight" fans' adoration (including mine), but I also find something so appealing about costar Michael Welch's unassuming charm. Which is why, when I randomly stumbled upon a Web ad yesterday for "Aczone High Starring Twilight's Michael Welch," I just had to click.
As it turns out, Michael is featured in a "High School Musical"-like series of ads for the acne cream, and he couldn't be cuter. With slicked back hair and an even slicker gray suit, the 22-year-old shimmies, shakes and sings (well, most probably lip synchs) in front of a cast of dancing cheerleaders, rebels, jocks and nerds. If "Twilight" ever becomes a musical, this guy would dance circles around uncoordinated RPattz. Just sayin'. Read more...

These days Bradley Cooper is hot. And, it seems with all his new-found fame and box-office success, the actor is having a romance rumor hangover. He's being linked to a slew of famous actresses — the latest of which is Denise Richards.
However, Bradley's reps, and even Denise herself, have now put that game of telephone to rest when she Tweeted that it was "B.S." His reps, according to Extra, also claimed that their reported dinner date was just a ploy put out there by some diet program in order for them to get press. Read more...
