Vampires are bloody good at keeping secrets. How else could the Cullens function in Forks if everyone knew their true identities? It seems, however, that one weary vampire is taking this secrecy to a whole new level. Jodelle Ferland, who was cast earlier this month in the third "Twilight" film "Eclipse," recently spoke with E! Online about her new role, though she left out the most important part--her character's identity.
In fact, the Canadian cutie has been sworn to secrecy! "I'm allowed to tell people that I play a vampire who has just been turned," she told the site. "In other words, I'm a newborn vampire. I'm not allowed to say the name of the character."
We originally speculated that the teen would be playing newborn vampire Bree, and Jodelle's cryptic description seems to lend credence to that theory. First off, if she can't reveal her character's name that means her character is indeed named and not one of the tens of unnamed vamps in Victoria's villanous gang. Secondly, Jodelle confirmed that she is a recently turned vampire. The only newborn vampire who is both named and female in "Eclipse" is Bree. So ... mystery solved?
Though Jodelle was mum about the details of her character, she was vocal about another of the saga's bloodsuckers. The 14-year-old said she is "really, really excited to meet Robert Pattinson." (What red-blooded girl wouldn't be?) And the feeling is shared by many of her friends. "Every single person I've told has asked if they could come to set," she added, laughing. "I've said, 'I'll have to think about that.' "
What do you think about Jodelle's secrecy? Do you think she is, in fact, Bree?
