Newlywed Jenna Dewan not only has her nuptials to "G.I. Joe" hottie Channing Tatum to celebrate, but the actress should also throw herself a little party for nabbing a role on "Melrose Place."
The "Step Up" star will join Ashlee Simpson-Wentz on the revamped CW series. According to E! (who spoke with "Melrose" exec producer Todd Slavkin), she'll play a movie executive who works at the Paramount lot. Her storyline will get woven into that of the Melrose residents when she develops a bit of a thing for Michael Rady's aspiring filmmaker character, Jonah.
Slavkin described Mrs. Tatum's character as an "ivy league graduate, wickedly sexy and wickedly smart." For now, Jenna is slated to appear in two episodes (seven and eight for those keeping track), but Slavkin adds that there's a chance they'll be more Jenna on the show. Why? Well, you see, her "audition blew us away."
E! also confirms that they are filming the show on a yacht Thursday and Friday. But, it seems you'll have to tune into the show, which begins on September 8 on the CW, to find out why they've taken to the high seas.
Besides paying a visit to the famous apartment complex, Jenna will also be able to be seen once again on the big screen in the upcoming comic book movie "Magdalena."
So, do you think that Jenna's guest spot will step up the plot of the show? And, do we think she'll bring some cat fighting to the group?
