It's clear from theatrical-quality trailers, Photoshopped movie posters and prolific fan fiction that Twilighters are a creative bunch. And that creativity even extends to their wardrobe. We recently stopped by the Cafe Press site to take a look at the warehouse-size inventory of "New Moon" designs for tees and hoodies, and we were pretty impressed with the clever, fun merch we saw.
So, we've compiled a list of our top five faves to wear around town or to the movie's premiere come November 20 (yes, there is even a graphic with a calendar on it and that date is circled in red with the words "Sick Day." Just don't let your bosses or teachers see you wearing it!)
1. Best Team Jacob Tee
"Real Men Don't Sparkle: Team Jacob"
We'll ignore the fact that Jacob isn't technically a man yet in "New Moon," but since the sequel is all about Bella's BFF, it's only fitting at least one design pay homage to everyone's favorite shape-shifting Quileute.
2. Best Team Edward Tee
"Property of Team Edward: Dazzling Since 1918, Chicago, Illinois"
Even though Edward is absent for most of "New Moon," we have to play fair and include a Team Edward tee in our collection. If not, the century-old vamp might come bite us! (Though maybe that wouldn't be the worst thing...)
3. Best Team Other Tee
"Jasper? Oh, Hale, Yes!"
Sure, Edward and Jacob are the undisputed heartthrobs of the "Twilight" saga, but this hilarious play-on-words tee could make us consider batting for Team Jasper (even if he does cause a bit of a mess in "New Moon").
4. Best Inside Joke Tee
"Stupid Lamb"
Only ardent fans of the series will understand this "New Moon"-themed tee, which depicts a scene from the sequel while also referencing one of the first novel's most famous lines.
5. Best Non-Sensical Tee
"Meanwhile, in a little town called spoons"
I don't know what it is about this last design that made us giggle when we first saw it, but it's pretty silly. Maybe it's the idea of an alternate universe featuring star-crossed lovers Stella, Edmond and Blake.
