Massachusetts Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy passed away yesterday at the age of 77. We try to steer away from politics here on Hollywood Crush (unless of course you call deciding between "Team Edward" and "Team Jacob" a partisan undertaking), but we felt it was due time to honor the politician because of his incredible impact on our country — specifically with the younger generations.
Celebrities took to Twitter to post their condolences and thoughts on Kennedy. Elizabeth Banks wrote, "My home state senator and political icon Ted Kennedy will be missed. My heart is with the Bay Staters today" while musician Joey McIntyre posted the thoughtful, " Ted Kennedy was a lion for so many great causes. His work inspires us to continue the fight... "to try, to seek, to find and not to yield." More of today's notable Tweets about the late Senator included words from Diddy ("We gonna miss you uncle Teddy! R I P!!!!"), Shanna Moakler ("thoughts and prayers to the Kennedy family") and Soleil Moon Frye ("The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dreams shall never die. Senator Ted Kennedy. RIP")

Remember those shots circulating earlier this summer of a lithe Britney Spears lounging by the pool in her white Eres bikini and floppy black hat? Well, we can now reveal those weren't random paparazzi shots but were part of an MTV Video Music Award promo shoot featuring Brit and two-time host Russell Brand!
This is the second time the odd couple has joined forces for a VMA promo. Last year the two filmed a series of mostly ad-libbed commercials in an abandoned warehouse with a 9,000-lb. elephant in the background. In one of the ads, Britney jokingly (or... not?) referred to the comic as "Russell Brown." Read more...

Before anyone had ever heard of "Twilight," Kristen Stewart was one of the hottest young stars coming out of Hollywood. Her first major appearance was at age 11 starring opposite Jodie Foster in "Panic Room." After Panic Room, Kristen made appearances as Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stones daughter in "Cold Creek Manor" and starred as the main child spy in "Catch That Kid."
Click on the photo below to see what little KStew looked like when she first entered the spotlight and how she's changed since. Then, keep reading for more on her Hollywood history (hint: it involves a certain book saga) after the jump.

Cody Longo's star is definitely on the rise. With a slew of big name and interesting projects on the horizon, pictures of the actor should soon be gracing the lockers of girls all across this great land once school starts in a couple weeks. It doesn't hurt that he's in a handfull of high school themed movies ... or that he's incredibly easy on the eyes. Don't believe us? Press play on the video below to see more of this week's Hump Day Hottie!
Vital Stats: The 21-year-old grew up in Colorado, where he was an athlete, and when he spoke to Hollywood Crush, he exhibited a bit of the small town charm that girls just die over. Plus, he has a great sense of humor. We're sure his girlfriend, "Make It Or Break It" actress Cassie Scerbo, agrees. Read more...

A single, blood-streaked leg was the first hint we got of Evan Rachel Wood's vampire queen of Louisiana during the closing moments of this week's "True Blood" episode. Whether the appendage belonged to Queen Sophie-Anne or a puncture-marked human, we can't say for sure, but we have uncovered a few tidbits about the bloodsucking queen whom Bill turns to, to rid Bon Temps of trouble-making Maryann.
Sink your teeth into these fangtastic facts as you patiently (or not so patiently) wait for next week's episode. Read more...

Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Filming on "Eclipse," the third installment of "The Twilight Saga," began this month, so it's about time we've Spotted! some of the cast members out and about on the streets of Vancouver. Newbie Xavier Samuel hung with veteran vampire Ashley Greene yesterday, while Xavier's fellow new-kid-on-the-"Twilight"-block Bryce Dallas Howard took a break from filming (and making out with him!) and headed out on a date with her husband, Seth Gabel. Remember him from that attractive ensemble drama on ABC, "Dirty Sexy Money"?
Click on the images above to see these bloodsucking pictures in full size, and find out which ABC star dressed up as a favorite BBQ meat for her show after the jump. Read more...

Welcome to day three of "Bring It On" week here on Hollywood Crush! The star of the fifth installment in the spirited lineup of movies, Christina Milian, is setting some pretty high expectations for her version,"Fight to the Finish." "It's better than any 'Bring It On' you've ever seen in your life!" she declared this week when she stopped by our offices.
Since its debut in 2000, the plot of all the "Bring It On" films has remained virtually unchanged, but Christina defended the new film's greatness by mentioning its up-to-date music and choreography. "I have music in the movie," she added after listing that Lady Gaga would be on the soundtrack. "I even shot a video that's at the end of the film." Read more...

"New Moon" is only 13 short weeks away, "Eclipse" is shooting and just recently, there was an apparently false rumor that we would be getting two “Breaking Dawn” movies. Even though the last "Twilight" film tentatively won’t be coming out until 2011 (or 2012?), it’s hard not to keep our eyes on the last three novels in the "Twilight Saga" as they move toward hitting the big screen. In honor of our excitement over these film adaptations, we have put together a list of our top five favorite scenes we can’t wait to see (in order of importance, of course).
SPOILER ALERT! If you haven’t read anything past the very first book in Stephenie Meyer's series, you probably should skip reading this list, run out to your nearest bookstore, and, uh … get on that! Read more...

Ten years after hitting it big with "...Baby One More Time," Britney Spears is once again driving fans crazy, being a slave 4 u, etc. with her comeback tour. And the pop star shows no sign of stopping. In addition to her Circus tour, Brit's been making some pretty high profile appearances this summer including a cameo on "The Late Show" to present Letterman's Top 10 list. In an homage to that appearance, and to celebrate Britney's boffo summer, we've compiled our own list of Britney's top 5 moments from summer '09.
But before we get to that, take a look back at the starlet's past couple of busy weeks by clicking on the photo below!

CNN recently sat down with Billy Ray Cyrus to talk about the "Hannah Montana: The Movie" DVD release. Much of the talk focused on how Billy Ray's father affected his life, and how he hopes to pass that on to Miley, but there's one more important question CNN decided to save until last: Will Miley remake "Achy Breaky Heart?"
It's kind of funny to think how this question probably would have been left out if a news source focused on a younger demographic were to have conducted the interview. Few know that Billy Ray was originally famous because of his 1991 country hit, "Achy Breaky Heart" — and if they do it's from "I Love the 90s" reruns on VH1. In fact, for many "Achy Breaky" made him not be taken all that seriously in the public eye. It was his shift to acting that won him some esteem, however. And, of course, that daughter who's really worth a million bucks. Read more...
