In a cast of very pretty people on "Melrose Place," it takes a lot to stand out.So that's why this week's Hump Day Hottie Colin Egglesfield made our list. Plus, the show — even back when the original first ran its course in the 90s — has always been known to catapult its actors into the spotlight. So, before the new generation of "Melrose Place" residents move in and get super famous, we wanted to recognize Colin for his babeness.
Press play on the video below to see more of this week's Hump Day Hottie and keep reading for more information about him (bonus: he's starred in a vampire flick!) after the jump.
Vital Stats: The 30-something Michigan native is trained in martial arts and has done time in the world of soaps, but little does anyone know that this guy really wanted to be a doctor and even spent some time in medical school before becoming a model. Um, paging Dr. McDreamy!
Where you might have already seen him: He's spent his time in numerous cameo spots including "Charmed" and "Gilmore Girls." Colin also showed the world his penchant for four-legged creatures in "Must Love Dogs" and has even jumped on the vampire bandwagon way back in 2005 (before they were all the rage) in "Vampires: The Turning." Last but certainly not least, he starred as Joshua Madden on a little show called "All My Children."
Why you should take notice of him now: He's left the world of daytime soaps behind for the world of nighttime drama to star alongside beauties like Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Katie Cassidy in "Melrose." He plays Auggie Kirkpatrick, a surfing chef with some demons in his closet (one of which involves famed "Melrose" bad girl Sydney). The show makes its big debut on Sept. 8 on the CW.
Until next Wednesday, when we honor yet another hottie, you can get the rest of your man candy fix by clicking on Colin's photo below to see who else is in our backlog of studs!
