A triple threat has taken over Redbook magazine's October issue as "Melrose Place" star Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, author/actress Alicia Silverstone and "Friday Night Lights" principal and mommy Connie Britton rock the cover of the mag in gold dresses.
The stars each offer up some insider info on their lives behind and in-front of the cameras. Behind the scenes of "Melrose Place," Ashlee, 25, has been busy raising her baby Bronx and told Redbook that having a baby has changed her outlook on life. "I’ve grown up so much," she noted. "The great thing about being pregnant is that you have nine months and it really does prepare you. Your body is changing, and it’s such an amazing time to feel that connection." Ashlee's post-baby body is super skinny, even though she had the tendency to indulge in desserts. "Being pregnant was the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life," Ashlee recalled. "Except for the cupcakes." Although she is keeping busy with her acting career, she told the magazine that she puts her mommy duty first and said that being a mom is "empowering and incredible."

The second lady in red, Alicia Silverstone (who most of us still probably tie to the 90s classic "Clueless"), found fame at the early age of 19 told the magazine that her sudden fame was overwhelming but that life became more clear through her marriage to husband Christopher Jarecki. When asked who her role model is Alicia, 33, told Redbook, "I love Susan Sarandon. She’s such a sexy, sassy, sophisticated woman — and playful. She’s such a great example of what a hot woman is.”
Speaking of a hot woman, Connie, 42, admits to Redbook that she keeps her sexy shape by eating vegan food and keeping her morals in check. "If I weren’t in this business, I think I would be aging differently," she said. "I’m fortunate because, for whatever reason, I’ve never looked at myself as, 'Oh, my gosh, I have to be the most beautiful.' I’ve always worked from the inside out, not the outside in.” On her role on "FNL," Connie says her friendship with actor Kyle Chandler, who plays her husband, football coach Eric Taylor, has also kept her down to earth. “It’s been fun playing this role on 'Friday Night Lights.' Kyle’s a great TV husband. We have so many conversations about partnership and what that means to us, what our values are.
