'New Moon' Actress Ashley Greene To Be Red Carpet Fashion Correspondent At Sunday's VMAs

This year's MTV Video Music Awards (kicking off Sunday, September 13 at 9 p.m. ET) are shaping up to be a Twilighter's dream come true (dare we say better than an Edward Cullen hallucination?). You're probably well aware that stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will be on hand to unveil a new "New Moon" trailer. You probably also know that Death Cab for Cutie will debut the first single off of the "New Moon" soundtrack ("Meet Me On the Equinox") that same day at MTV.com. But did you know that another of Fork's stylish vampires will be getting in on the action? That's right! Ashley Greene, who plays Edward's sis Alice Cullen, will be the celebrity fashion correspondent for the star-studded event.

It's probably no coincidence Ashley plays fashion maven Alice onscreen, what with her girly, flirty style off screen. The 22-year-old actress told MTV News that she's excited to put her own spin on the night's fashion coverage and already has a few famous fashionistas in mind to chat up on the red carpet. "I think Leighton Meester has really great style. I think Beyonce always has really cool things," she said. "[Lady Gaga] always has the craziest fashion ever and I'm really excited to see if she'll come over and chat with me about her inspiration, what she does. I feel like she makes her own world and her own fashion world."

Though the awards ceremony is less than a week away, Ashley's been too busy filming "Eclipse" to decide what she'll wear. "I have absolutely no idea at this point. I think we're going to squeeze in [a fitting] Saturday. I'm sure it's going to be something along the lines of some sort of mini and possible silver or gold. I feel like that's very VMA-ish," she explained. "As far as boundaries and stuff, push them a bit, and I am the fashion correspondent so I think I can be a little crazy."

Someone she also expects to get a little crazy with her threads is costar KStew. "We just did Teen Choice and Kristen had this crazy dress with bullets all over it, which I kind of feel might have been appropriate for the VMAs, so I'm sure she'll do something like that again, but I haven't talked to her about what she wants to wear." And what will the boys of "Twilight" be sporting? "Gosh I have no idea. I feel like the guys have it a little bit easier they will probably just wear some sort of tie or jeans and a nice shirt."
