All the familiar faces are back for the "Sex and the City" film sequel, which we have been avidly getting anxious for as we catch glimpses of the stars on set, but we are in for a few new surprises beyond just exotic new locations. Miley Cyrus could be headed to join the fray, and "Death Race" actor Max Ryan has signed on to the highly anticipated in film as of all things Samantha's new love interest.
Life & Style apparently got word from some set insiders that Miley has been approached for a guest role in the film. She hasn't confirmed, the insider told L&S. According to the schedule, Oct. 16 would be the day set aside for her to hit the set. Turns out gushing about being a fan of a something can get you a gig in it.
But as for actors who have been confirmed, The Hollywood Reporter says Max will be playing Rikard, a European architect who will cross paths with Samantha.
So it seems official that, after the long-running relationship between Samantha and Smith that ended in the past movie, the two love birds aren't going to be getting together any time soon (though, when a paparazzo snapped Kim while she was holding a script page last week, it reportedly said Smith Jarrod's name on the page). Or, for all you Samantha/Smith fans out there, maybe it is good news, and poor Rikard will just make Samantha realize how in love with Smith she really is. Either way, we certainly wont be finding out any time soon.
Fun fact: The name of the man Samantha most wanted to cheat on Smith with in the "Sex and the City: The Movie" was named Dante, who is also the name of the character Max played in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen." Coincidence? I think not!
What do you think about Miley maybe showing up in th e movie? And what about Max signing on?
