With bloodsuckers dominating the bulk of Video Music Awards (movie) news as of late — "New Moon" trailer debut! Death Cab's single premiere! Ashley Greene as fashion correspondent! — we were beginning to think VMA stood for Vampire Media Awards. But then the cast of "Fame" danced onto the scene and we're so gonna remember their names.
The movie doesn't hit theaters until September 25, but the cast has already shot the music video for the flick's title song, which will debut during the VMA pre-show, airing this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. If you can't wait roughly 56 hours to learn how to fly, we've got a preview of the shimmying and shaking after the jump. And it looks hot.
The clip, with its street-full of lively dancers leaping atop yellow cabs and frolicking in the streets reminded us of another memorable VMA moment: last year's live performance of "Lovebug" by the Jonas Brothers on a NYC-styled backlot. We have a feeling though, the students from the New York City High School for Performing Arts have better moves. Sorry, JoBros.

Are you excited to see the full "Fame" music video at the VMA pre-show this weekend?
