Just as everyone has an opinion, a favorite meal and a nose — albeit a fake one at times — so too does everyone have a birthday... even celebrities. Here at Birthday Bash, it's our mission to salute the fine actors, filmmakers and other Hollywood heroes that are celebrating their special day this week. After all, it's cheaper than mailing a cake!
This week, the celebration is on for the newest and possibly craziest addition to "Melrose Place," one of the cinema's biggest (but funniest) jerks and "Iron Man's" main squeeze.
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz (October 3): Surrounded by a circle of famous and talented musicians like sister Jessica and husband Pete Wentz, it's no wonder that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz herself has experienced some success of her own. Between her singing career and her burgeoning acting career, Ashlee is undoubtedly as well-known as her rockstar husband and pop-singing sibling.

Could we be any more excited about rumors of a "Friends" movie? Well, we could if the gossip came from a more believable source. According to the UK's Daily Mail, friends Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will be sipping Central Perk lattes once again as the cast reunites for a movie version of their hit NBC series, which ran for 10 seasons.
According to the Mail, the success of the "Sex and the City" movie has prompted Warner Brothers to produce a movie version of "Friends" and they "are prepared to pay a fortune to the stars." Warner Brothers has also recruited the show's creators, David Crane and Marta Kauffman, to pen the script and produce. The movie will open summer 2011.

It's pretty incredible that even in the most remote, exotic places of the world - you can still find "Twilight" fever. Case in point — I'm in Bora Bora for the "Couples Retreat" junket. It took 21 hours to get here from NYC, a transit time that included three different flights. If you look up Bora Bora on a map, you see it's literally in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. All of this meaning ... it's a gorgeously isolated island. Well, during some free time, Movies Editor Josh Horowitz and I decided to do some exploring on the mainland. So Josh, his lovely wife Jenny, and I hopped on a small boat to be whisked away to the tiny town of Vaitape. We were dropped off in the main marketplace, which was actually only a little strip of about four different shops.

The first image we're greeted with? Robert Pattinson. More specifically, Robert Pattinson's beautiful, pensive face from a "Twilight" poster plastered in a store window. (There were some French phrases that I wasn't able to translate if any of you care to assist.) Anyway, in store number two, we browsed the aisles of flowered pareos and Tahitian vanilla. Suddenly, we came upon upon Robert Pattinson's dreamy visage. Actually, a ton of Robert Pattinson's as you can see in the picture after the jump.

It’s Friday! You’re probably getting ready to take in a weekend of Football or enjoy the warm weather before it leaves us behind for winter, but before you step away from your computer to enjoy your weekend, check out our new, improved Friday Crush Worthy feature. Instead of just telling you about the pop stories you were crushing on for the past week, now we're showing you. So press play on the video above to see a few of Hollywood Crush's finest staffers tackle the week's past news and keep reading for more details on our juiciest headlines.
To kick things off, let's revisit probably the best, most comedic moment of the week. It belongs to Sophia Bush for embracing her inner Michael Scott on "One Tree Hill." It seems that Miss Brooke Davis loves herself a good "That's what she said" joke. And to be honest, who doesn't?

Hey guys, Chineza here. The “Twilight Fashion Week” finale is upon us, and I am here to show you the last two items from the highly anticipated line of “New Moon” merchandise coming soon from our buddies at Nordstrom. Personally, I wish "Twilight Fashion Week" were like Edward &8212; immortal. But regardless, I’m super-excited to show you these two new items. OME!

The first piece is the Edward charm bracelet, a symbol of my undying love for the vampire and his never-ending hotness. It’s a silver charm bracelet, and each charm has a special meaning representing our favorite Cullen. It has a large, bejeweled "E," a lion charm representing his romance with Bella and — natch — the Cullen crest. My fellow intern Liliana showed you the Bella bracelet that goes with it yesterday, but if you really want to show your love for Edward, this piece is a must-have.

"Idol" host Ryan Seacrest learned something so juicy and scandalous about "American Idol" champ Kris Allen today, that he had to spread the word via Twitter. Seacrest posted, "Today Kris allen told me his wife has to drop him off and pick him up at work now because they only have one car in LA." OK, maybe it's not so scintillating after all, but we needed some sort of Kris Allen fix!
We're guessing Kris and his wife had their air conditioner cranked in their car, as stars throughout LaLa Land tweeted about the late summer heat wave. "House" star Omar Epps complained, "Damn it's hooooot!" while the high temps made "The Office" star Mindy Kaling reach her breaking point: "this town is a fireball. i quit."
Don't forget, whether you're breaking a sweat in SoCal, or keeping it cool in the Northeast, you can follow us all the time @hollywoodcrush! Check out what else celebs were dishing out today, including Emma Roberts (pictured), who reveals whether she's on Team Edward or Team Jacob! Read more...

We are on vampire overload since we've been closely following "Twilight Fashion Week" , and now we just caught word that Ashley Greene is a cover girl for her first time on the October issue of Saturday Night Magazine. Ashley looks stunning in blue and talks about everything from her take on "New Moon" to workouts with her vampire costars.
Ashley admits that when she auditioned for "Twilight" she was bummed when she didn't get the role of Bella, but now understands why she fits as the perfect Alice. “I originally auditioned for Bella, and so I read the first book and kind of fell in love with it," she said. "I went in and auditioned and actually they called me back in and said, ‘No, you’re not right for Bella,’ so I was bummed, and then they brought me back for Alice. I worked more on it — that was all I did for a couple of days before I went in. I came in probably like five times before I actually got the role — and then I went home for Christmas and literally just had to wait and wait. I thought that I didn’t get it again, and then I got the call that I was Alice and I freaked out and called my dad and mom.”

We know that "Fame" (which finally comes out today!) is a reboot of the 1980 movie musical — we've spent all week celebrating its release with tons of cast interviews and behind-the-scenes info — but how closely does it follow the structure of the original film? Here, we took a closet look at the main characters from each movie to see how the new class stacks up.
Shy Denise (Naturi Naughton, pictured above, right) is forced by her parents to study classical music instead of the R&B she's actually interested in, reminding us of two characters from the original film who also strived to impress their parents. Wallflower Doris Finsecker (Maureen Teegy, pictured above, left) was pushed into auditioning for the school by her slightly overbearing mother but blossomed into a confident actress over her four years, and actor Montgomery MacNeil (Paul McCrane) struggled to even show up at all on his famous mother's radar.

We might have missed Sunday's celebration — why, September 20 means just two months until "New Moon" comes out, of course — but don't think we forgot that in only 55 days, we'll be basking in the glorious presence of Taylor Lautner's abs. To help tide us over until then, check out what the man also known as Jacob Black told Boxoffice Magazine about being shirtless (yay), the possibility of dating a fan (bigger yay), and what's cool about werewolves.
While Taylor hasn't been shy about showing off his bulked-up physique to the cameras, he still isn't used to all the attention surrounding his topless frame — especially when his friends and family are around "It's weird," he says. "It's embarrassing for me [when fans go nuts over his shirtless photos], and I'm sure it's awkward for [my family]." It hasn't gotten to the point where his family teases him about it yet, though — "I'm hoping that doesn't happen because I'll start blushing."

FROM MOVIES BLOG: Studio head Bob Weinstein issued the pronouncement: "I'm heading back to my franchise films," as reported by Variety. The plan on paper calls for a veritable blitzkrieg of sequels, many of them in 3-D.
The most stunning news relates to the much-talked-about "Scream 4." Series star Neve Campbell had previously stated that she wouldn't be back for more. According to Weinstein, Campbell will return, joining already-confirmed castmates David Arquette and Courteney Cox. What's more, director Wes Craven is in talks with Dimension to helm.
