Girls will be girls, right? Well that seems to be the case for Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. Though last month, when Katy decided to pull a little prank on Taylor, it didn't go all that smoothly.
The country crooner revealed to JustJared.com that apparently the pop singer likes to drunk dial her. Yes, that's right, Katy drunk dials Taylor. “I wasn’t going to say anything about that ever! I don’t want to tell secrets!" Taylor said.

Melissa Rosenberg has got to be the happiest lady in the Twi-verse. She has just signed on, according to E! Online, to pen the screenplay of the final “Twilight” novel, “Breaking Dawn” — which, by the way, we still don’t know if it’s going to be in one or two movies.
According to E!, when they spoke to Melissa last week, she said “everything was still up in the air,” but their “Twilight” insider said Melissa's deal is done, though Summit has returned to the idea of splitting “Breaking Dawn” into two movies.

L.J. Smith, author of "The Vampire Diaries," wasn't immediately jumping for joy when she heard her novels were being optioned for a TV series.
"I've had other things optioned before [that haven't been made], so my reaction was at first, 'OK, another one of those,' " Smith told MTV News. "But then when they said it was by Kevin Williamson, I realized it was probably a little bit more serious."
Now that the CW series is about to air its third episode tonight at 8 p.m. ET, Smith isn't holding back any praise, regardless of the changes producers have made to her stories and characters.

It seems like someone was reading our diaries from elementary school because they are finally making a live-action film about Barbie. Variety reports that Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to make a film about the most famous blonde in the world. And since there has yet to be a storyline, director, writers or actors attached to the flick, we here at Hollywood Crush would like to place ourselves in the casting director's chair for just one moment.
With Hollywood teeming in bevies of blondes who would most likely kill each other for the chance to play the famed doll, we narrowed our list down to five likely starlets who we think resemble the iconic Barbie in some way or another. And, we decided that since Tyra Banks already starred as a doll in "Life-Size," she had her chance. So, now let's give some others that opportunity.
Check out our picks after the jump. Read more...

There’s already Twilight The Game, but now new (exciting!) details have been released as “Twilight” enters into another genre of movie trivia games. Two months ago we teased initial information about Scene It? Twilight, which will hit shelves on October 1. But today Konami and Screenlife released new news that the Twilight edition will be available not only as a board game, but will be released for Wii in the fall and DS in spring 2010.
The DVD board game (pictured) is slated for ages 14 and up, will cost about $30 and will available at all major retailers (in fact, you can already pre-order the game on Amazon.com). There was no news on how much the Wii or DS versions of the game will cost.

The news that "Jennifer"s Body" and "Juno" scribe Diablo Cody would be writing a big screen adaptation of the beloved "Sweet Valley High" series had fans of the book buzzing today. Will Diablo (pictured) be able to capture the essence of the books? Will she stay true to the characters? Well, she took to her Twitter page to ease fans fears, posting, "Frankie says relax: Sweet Valley High is set in the '80s. Don't feel like brokering some deal with T-Mobile to give Enid a Sidekick." Phew, we feel a sense of relief already! Of course, then things got a little weird when famous names from "Sweet Valley" apparently contacted her. "Sweet Valley High characters are tweeting at me. I'm having a nerdgasm. @BetsyMartin @CaraWalker @BrucePatman @ToddWilkins," she wrote.
While Diablo sorts out her excitement, there are plenty of new fall TV shows to keep us satisfied, even if they are slightly tear jerking. Just ask "New Moon" star Rachelle Lefevre who tweeted, "Just when I thought I couldn't cry anymore watching The Biggest Loser... Next time I try to skip the gym I hope I remember this feeling." Rachelle wasn't the only one shedding a tear over reality TV, "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Kelly Osbourne posted to fans this morning," i am sat here in tears from the bottom of my heart thank you all so much 4 your support i never could have done that with out you!!!!!"!

As "Fame" week continues on Hollywood Crush, we want you to get to know as many of the High School of Performing Arts' magnetic personalities as possible (just yesterday, you said hello to dancer Kevin, and a while back rich girl Alice introduced herself). So today, meet Denise (Naturi Naughton). She's well-mannered, studious and really good at tickling the ivory. The only problem is that Denise is dying to break out of her shell and explore the world of a music in a way that she's never been able to before, but she's not sure she even knows how. "Denise is extremely shy," notes Naturi. "She actually comes from a very sheltered background. Her parents want her to be a classical pianist and [Denise] is so focused on that — to please her parents initially — and she's not following her heart."
That "Fame" complex that seems to take over most of the students in these halls eventually sets in, and thanks to a powerful solo performance of "Out Here On My Own," Denise realizes she needs to find her own path. The song (which can also be found on the "Fame" soundtrack) is about figuring out who you are, Naturi explains. "That's kind of what happens ... eventually [Denise] convinces [her parents] and says, 'Look, whether you like it or not, classical music is not who I am. It's singing and being an artist and being R&B. That's what makes me light up, that's what makes me feel good.' And she goes for it and she's really good." Press play below to hear more from Naturi, and get ready to follow her dream come this Friday when "Fame" is released.

Cougars: they’re hot, they’re experienced, and they are on the prowl! ABC’s new series "Cougar Town" premieres tonight with Courtney Cox as TV’s first billboard cougar, and it got us to thinking about those women in real life who could easily slip right into Courtney's shoes.
The man eaters (well, some of them are, right?) have been taking over the Hollywood dating scene and with the debut of "Cougar Town," we feel a rampage coming on! So to honor the she-cats, we came up with a list of a few celebrity cougars and and the hunky young-men they took off the market.

Hey Twilighters! Over the last few days, we’ve been having a blast celebrating “Twilight Fashion Week” here at MTV. After I met some of the nice folks at Nordstrom while covering Comic-Con, we’ve stayed in touch and they were nice enough to send us a whole box of goodies that won’t be on their shelves for a few more weeks, so that we can give an exclusive first-look to you guys. Why? Cuz they know you're hardcore.
First, we showed you the “Team Wolfpack” t-shirts, with some help from Mr. Cam Gigandet. Then, yesterday came the Cullen and Volturi “Crest” tees. But you might be wondering: Hey, where’s all the Edward and Jacob stuff? And how is a girl supposed to accessorize?
Well, don’t worry, because we’ve got both questions covered today. After the jump, take a gander at these super-cool, elegantly simple “Edward” and “Jacob” necklaces that you’ll only see here at Hollywood Crush.

Will the third time be a box office charm for Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz? The pair have reunited in Boston to film the spy thriller "Wichita" (yes, a movie named after a Kansas city is being shot in Massachusetts), marking the third big screen outing for the two A-Listers.
The first was back in 2001 when the pair played former flames in the sci-fi thriller "Vanilla Sky." A year later, they appeared in "Minority Report." If you're scratching your head and having a "what the...?" moment regarding who Cameron played in the futuristic drama, she had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it, uncredited role as "Woman on Metro." Thanks, IMDB!
Caught above in a heated moment, Cameron plays a Midwest woman set up on a blind date with Tom who ends up being a federal agent, pulling Cameron into a "violent worldwide journey to protect a powerful battery that holds the key to an infinite power source," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
