A new season is upon us. It's the first day of fall, or autumn if you prefer the somewhat "classier" term, and that means we're getting a bit excited for the start of the school year and falling in love and for our fabulous warmer wardrobes all over again. It also made us think about all the movies that take place in the leaf-changing season. It's actually a fun game — while playing it in the office, we learned that a popular thread throughout movies about fall is death. Also, we noticed there were quite a few, er, cheesy flicks on the fall-themed roster as well.
So to honor the season, here's a list of a few movies to watch to get you into the spirit:
"Autumn in New York"
With a tag line like "He fell in love for the first time... she fell in love forever," it's hard to not watch this train wreck of a movie just because you can't help but get sucked into its nonsense. Richard Gere plays the rich, older lover to an ill, dying Winona Ryder. They fall in love, someone gets a watch, she wears wacky hats and then dies. Yes, folks, that sort of sums up what it's like in New York during autumn. Minus all of the above.

FROM SPLASH PAGE: Last month, we told you about the upcoming biography comic book about "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer. Timed to hit shelves in November (right alongside the next film in the franchise, "New Moon"), "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer" arrives in two formats: a standard comic and a limited-run, 32-page version featuring an illustrated history of Forks (the town where "Twilight" takes place) and an alternate, Stephenie Meyer cover that we debuted exclusively on Splash Page.
Now, courtesy of the crew at Bluewater Productions, we have an exclusive, five-page preview of "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer"—as well as a two-page preview of the "History of Forks" story found in the special, extended edition of the comic. (Click on the image below to check out the full preview.)

After this week, you're for sure going to remember their names. In case you missed the memo (maybe a singing telegram would have been more apropos?) it's "Fame" week here at Hollywood Crush. As we gear up for the raucous remake of the '80s classic (which opens Friday), we've made the talented, photogenic, cool (and apparently overachieving) cast members of the musical flick the focus of this week's "Star Gazing."
Click on the photo below to see more cast shots and read on to learn all the deets you need to know about the students of the New York City High School for Performing Arts.

OK so something weird is happening on "One Tree Hill" — for some reason Sophia Bush's character, Brooke Davis, is slowly morphing into "The Office" boss Michael Scott. Sure, it's hard (that's what she said!) for anyone to top Steve Carell's amazing delivery of his now infamous "that's what she said" jokes on the NBC sitcom, but Sophia is slowly coming close (that's what she said!) on "One Tree Hill."
For the past two episodes Brooke has, in our humble opinion, made some pretty funny "TWSS" jokes. In fact, they are dirtier than most we'd hear on "The Office." Did you guys catch the one from last week when she and Julian (Austin Nichols) and he asks her is she's coming (to join him for a nude swim) and she retorts under her breath, "That's what she said!"? Um, that is a ballsy (that's what she said!... yeah we can't help ourselves either) comment for a CW show, right?

From Lady Gaga’s wild outfits, to Kristin Cavallari’s every-changing trends, MTV News always has the latest do’s and don’t of fashion to keep you up to date and in the loop with celebrities and their closets. This week’s style inspiration (and contestant on "What Were U Thinking?") is Kim Kardashian. Whether she is strolling through the streets or workin’ it for Playboy , this vixen likes to be "sexy" (no, really, she uses that word at least 10 times in the video) and flaunt her bodacious curves.
Kim said she uses her image to encourage women to love their body just the way they are (we appreciate a positive message like that, so go Kim!) “I’m a curvy girl and I think that, my body type is a little bit more realistic than some of the models and actresses in Hollywood, and I’ve very proud of my curves … Let’s show ‘em, what real women look like!”

As the November 20 premiere of "New Moon" inches slowly, ever-so-slowly closer, we're on the hunt for any new sequel tidbits to sink our teeth into (and make the wait seem less eternal). Thankfully, we've found some delicious eye candy courtesy of David Strick, who visited the Canadian set to snap pics for his L.A. Times feature "Hollywood Backlot." Dozens of shots capture Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and crew in candid, behind-the-scenes moments in the chilly Capilano Park Forest, about 20 minutes outside of Vancouver, during an April night shoot for the highly-anticipated flick. Here are a few of our favorites:

1. Above, a somewhat disheveled (and smiling! ... he doesn't seem to do that nearly enough as he should, right?) Robert talks with director Chris Weitz and costar Kristen about the night's scene. With the way Chris and Kristen are dressed, we can only imagine Rob is freezing his arse off in that flimsy-looking shirt and wool pants. If only we were there to keep him warm!

When we talked with "Melrose Place" actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz earlier this month, we couldn't help but wonder aloud whether catty Amanda Woodward (a.k.a. Heather Locklear) would be moving back into the drama-filled apartment complex. Well, our wish has been granted. According to a press release from The CW: "The bitch is back"! (That seems to be quite the popular phrase to be using on TV this fall, doesn't it?)
Heather will begin her stint with the November 17 episode, though the statement did not indicate how many episodes she would be appearing in.
“We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to ‘Melrose Place,’” said executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer. “Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”

Hey everyone! First, let me introduce myself. My name is Liliana Klein and I’m a brand new intern for MTV News. During my second day here, the most exciting thing happened (yes, it has a little something to do with the photo of "Twilight" villain Cam Gigandet and me above)!
I'm a big “Twilight” fan, and MTV's version of “Twilight Fashion Week” just so happens to be taking place over these next five days in honor of Nordstrom's new line of “New Moon” merchandise debuting out next month. Yep, all week long writer Larry Carroll and us interns will be unveiling new, never-before-seen products from the Nordstrom collection. Say it with me now: OME!

All of Hollywood is still buzzing about last night's Emmy's ceremony. The winners! The losers! The dresses! But, the real toast of the town was Emmy's host (but, sadly, not award recipient) Neil Patrick Harris (pictured) who wowed the crowd and viewers with his singing skills, comedic chops, and one legendary appearance by Dr. Horrible. David Henrie, who also stars on NPH's "How I Met Your Mother," tweeted, "NPH killed it," while "Biggest Loser" host Ali Sweeney agreed, "Neil Patrick Harris totally did a great job." While we agree with the both of them, we couldn't help but giggle at (and agree with) Olivia Munn's observation, " I'm in love with Neil Patrick Harris. Does he HAVE TO be gay? Uuggh. I get no breaks in this life."
Of course, no awards show recap would be complete without fashion, and it seems Christina Applegate had a harder time parting with her gorgeous gown than she did with the trophy she was nominated for (but lost to Toni Collette). The actress tweeted, " Good morning all. The carriage has turned to a pumpkin. Dress goes back to Basil Soda and now it's just monday."
While most stars recover from Emmy madness, "New Moon" star Ashley Greene has recovered enough from her VMA gig to sign up for her own Twitter account! Check out what else had celebs chatting today, from Jordin Sparks' secret to birthday boy Tom Felton's celebration plans. And don't forget to follow us everyday @hollywoodcrush for all the latest going on in the Twitterverse!

Taylor Swift isn't shy when it comes to talking about Taylor Lautner, her costar and onscreen love interest in "Valentine's Day." And although the duo have minor roles, we do know that from the photos that emerged while they were shooting (including the one from the right), that they may become one of our favorite couples in movie history.
So, it's nice to know where Swift stands when it comes to the ultimate debate: Team Edward vs. Team Jacob. Apparently, she is on Team Jacob, a.k.a. Team Taylor Lautner. "Aw, Tay-Tay. Well, see, I don't know Rob Pattinson, so I would just by default, I'd be on Team Tay," she said on Z-100 about her "Valentine's Day" costar. "I love him. He's so cute!"
