Could a cat-fight be brewing amongst Disney's reigning princesses Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez? Sure seems like it if Twitter posts are any indication.
Last night, Miley posted a picture of her embracing fellow teen queen Demi. Along with the pic, she tweeted, "Now this is what true friendship looks like. None of that hollywood crap. @ddlovato I miss you = ]"
None of that "Hollywood crap"? Hmmm … now who could she be referring to?
Demi replied with: "@sierrabardot http://twitpic.com/k7wed - I love this. : ) very true. THAT is what a TRUE friendship looks like." (Sierra Bardot, it seems, is a big Miley fan who re-tweeted Miley's post to Demi.)
So far, so sweet, right? But then it gets complicated.
A couple of hours after Miley's original post, Demi tweeted again, with: "Yeah.. It's just kind of hard to miss somebody that I don't know anymore."
The "Sonny With A Chance" star didn't reveal who she doesn't "know anymore," but blogger Perez Hilton, who was all too quick to jump into the drama, guessed it was Miley. Demi shot down that theory with yet another post on Twitter (OK, really, how do these girls have so much time to tweet?!)."Hahahahahaaha too bad that's not who I was talking about. Nice one guys," she said, linking to Perez's story.
OK Demi, we get the point — you and Miley are bff's forever … cute.
But that still leaves the question of who Demi doesn't "know anymore" and what Miley meant by "Hollywood crap."
If we read between the Twitter lines, it seems like the snark could be directed at "Wizard's of Waverly Place" star Selena Gomez, who has remained quiet throughout the whole thing. No tweets yet really rebutting the theory (though Demi did write on her Twitter page around the time this was all going down, "Hope everyone picked up a copy of "Kiss And Tell" by Selena Gomez and The Scene... congrats @selenagomez on the new album"), but we'll be sure to keep you updated.
