Is notorious bachelor George Clooney finally settling down? According to In Touch, Clooney recently bought his girlfriend, Italian TV personality Elisabetta Canalis, a diamond ring to show off his commitment. “It's not an engagement ring — but it is a sign they're getting serious," reports the mag. At the time of his relationship with waitress Sarah Larson, Clooney said he would “never marry.” Oh, have the tides changed! This bling comes not long after the duo moved in together into his California home.
It’s been sixteen years since Clooney ended a tumultuous marriage with Talia Balsam and many people assumed the man about town would never tie the knot again. He’s had one, two, possibly even three girlfriends at a time in recent years and he’s been fairly modest when asked about his relationships with women. In early 2009 there was speculation that he was indeed dating yet another waitress Lucy Wolvert as well as Fatima Bhutto, the granddaughter of a former Pakistan Prime Minister.
He’s never been inconsistent and unpredictable on the big screen though. In fact, he constantly puts out hit after hit. In 2007, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in "Michael Clayton" and who could forget his performances as Danny Ocean in the "Ocean’s" series? He has three films still forthcoming in 2009, "The Man Who Stares At Goats," "Up in the Air" and "Fantastic Mr. Fox."
What do you think about the diamond ring: a token of his affection? Or a token of his desire to get married again?
