It worked out pretty well for those Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Billy Bob Thornton guys. Now, could “Twilight” series star Justin Chon follow in their star-making footsteps and write himself a classic movie role?

Back in the mid-90s, the three stars were struggling actors who’d appeared in a decent number of feature films, but felt like they weren’t being offered the right kinds of roles by Hollywood. Mix in Matt and Ben’s screenplay for “Good Will Hunting,” an Oscar for Best Screenwriting, and the rest is history. Billy Bob Thornton followed a similar path with “Sling Blade.”

Where in the world is Amber Riley? That seemed to be the question on the minds of the "Glee" cast this morning as they searched far and wide for their castmate (pictured) who plays the sassy, and crazy talented, Mercedes. Cover boy Finn (Corey Monteith) posted, "@msamberriley where u at? rehearsal time! wakey wakey!" while Chris Colfer thought to himself, "Gee, I sure wish @msamberriley was at rehearsal! Golly me I miss her! ; )" Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays Tina, sent out her own Twitter distress call, "Everyone find @msamberriley" So keep your eyes peeled for Amber this weekend, Crushers!

The "Glee" clubbers weren't the only ones with something crucial on their mind. "Cougar Town" star Nick Zano told fans, "Heading over to E! this morning, anyone want anything? I can most likely get you a host of something or a Lamas." Hmm, while a Joel McHale does sound awfully tempting, today we might have to go with Ryan Seacrest who tweeted, "Here's video of my @twilight "new moon" reading for today! It got a little messy with wax at the end lol http://bit.ly/2MaKkc."

Keep reading for more of the best from the Twitterverse today, including a "Gossip Girl" birthday bash, Pink reaches new heights (without a trapeze!) and Hunter Parrish carves some pumpkins (maybe he's working on our contest!) Don't forget to follow us all weekend @hollywoodcrush to stay in the loop on all your faves!

As a member of the "Sex and the City" foursome, Kristin Davis (who as we all know by now plays happy-go-lucky Charlotte) has had her fair-share of hot male costars. However, her hottest yet may have only been 13-years-old when she worked with him.

We're, of course, referring to 2005's "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D," in which Mrs. York-Goldenblatt played the mom to a son who imagined Sharkboy, played by Taylor Lautner. The fact that Taylor's since skyrocketed into major heartthrob status — thanks to "Twilight," duh — has Kristin blushing just a little. "He was a kid [when we were filming] and he didn't have those muscles, and I don't know what happened," she told MTV News' Josh Horowitz during a recent office visit. "I see these pictures [now and] I can't believe it."

In between inserting the old adage, "They grow up so fast," the actress had nothing but good things to say about Taylor's professionalism. "[He was] nothing of those negative things that you think of with child actors. So for anyone to be succeeding, I'm happy for him," she exclaimed. "I'm just a little ... I feel protective, like what is he doing without his shirt on? And then I hear he's dating people and I'm like, 'Ahh!' " Press play above to hear Kristin gush even more about Jacob!

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Actor Stephen Moyer was Spotted! chatting away on his cell phone today, outside a medical building in Beverly Hills. The "True Blood" star looked extra-dreamy in a striped shirt, faded jeans, brown belt and dark sunglasses. No official word on why he was at the doctor's office, but we're guessing it had something to do with the cane he was sporting during the taping of Saturday's Spike Scream Awards. Stephen, who won the Best Horror Actor Award, showed up on stage with the aid of a black cane — thanks to a torn meniscus. (Translation: knee injury).

So, what caused it? Perhaps a daring scene on set, or maybe a wild night of partying? Not quite. "I'd like to say it was some kind of thrusting, sexy injury, but it really isn't," Stephen confessed to Radar magazine in an interview earlier this month. The real cause behind the torn meniscus? "Rolling around with my kids," he said. Ok, granted that's not as exciting, but it is totally endearing.

Click on the photo above to get a closer look at the "True Blood" star and look below the jump for some "Hills" action.

With less than a month until the release of "New Moon," we're starting to see more interviews with Robert Pattinson pop up around the media realm. USA Weekend magazine ran a brief interview with the Brit as part of their breakdown for the uninitiated (are there any left?!) of the new face of popular vampire culture. Most of the information they got out of Rob was stuff we already knew — he channeled James Dean for "Twilight," he's terrified of his fans — but it was fun hearing him say it again.

"Right at the beginning, everyone just called me Edward," he told USA. "I don't really mind either way. There's something about that character that, for some reason, has sparked an interest in massive degrees in so many different people.

"If you want to compete with your own character, you have to really fight. I don't know if I could be bothered to fight," he said with a laugh. "I just let it go by."

What would Mr. Bear say? In a new tell-all memoir, "Full House" actress Jodie Sweetin, who played middle daughter Stephanie Tanner on the '90s series, admits to being high while giving sobriety speeches at universities across the country.

In "unSweetined," due out November 3, Jodie reveals that she continued to do coke, Ecstacy and meth even after her much-publicized recovery, going as far as to light up before her university engagements.

"I did a few key bumps and headed to the lecture hall, where a sold-out crowd waited to hear me speak," Jodie writes in an excerpt posted to Amazon.com. "I thought for sure that one of the professors would take one look at me and kick me out. But none did. They wanted to hear about the trials and tribulations of Jodie Sweetin, or at least the Jodie Sweetin I had created by appearing on 'Good Morning America' and talking to People magazine."

Whether he's slaying vampires with stakes or slaying audiences with laughter, there's one thing that everybody can agree upon when it comes to actor Ryan Reynolds — he's pretty awesome.

The Canadian-born actor, recently seen in this summer's "The Proposal" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," turned 33 years-old today, prompting the crew here at Birthday Bash — which mostly consists of me, but I like referring to myself as a team — to wish the erstwhile Van Wilder a very happy birthday!

If you're not as convinced as I am that Reynolds is a fantastic Hollywood icon worth celebrating, then please indulge me as I run down five reasons we should all be thankful for the actor's continually evolving career.

In the 70s, there was Watergate, the scandal that rocked the White House and brought down a president, but this year, something far more, well, provocative made headlines ... 2009, was the year of "Zippergate."

Yes, "Zippergate" was the scandal, or rather the dress, that rocked the red carpet at this years Emmy Awards. The victim, actress Olivia Wilde, opened up to MTV News' Josh Horowitz in the video after the jump about the daring gown and why it shouldn't have caused so much chatter.

"Catatonic" is how author Maggie Stiefvater describes her reaction to the news that her novel "Shiver" had been optioned for a movie just a month after the book's August release. "There was a lot of staring at the wall and blinking."

But now that Stiefvater has snapped out of that shocked state, she has some definite ideas about what she'd like to see in the movie version of her story about the doomed love between a human girl and a werewolf boy.

"I'd love to have a director who would do it at a slow pace, more 'Benjamin Button' than 'Tomb Raider,'" she told us. "More of a mood piece, just because I think so much of 'Shiver' 's action is more internal in setting."
