Breaking news! One huge teen pop sensation hates an extraordinarily popular vampire teen film series. Or, translated, Miley Cyrus hates "Twilight."
And she doesn't just kind of hate it. She loathes it.
"I don't believe in it. I don't like vampires. ... I don't like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I'm watching my TV at night. I don't like it. I don't want anything to do with it. I don't like the shirts. I don't like any of it," she told radio station Q92 in a backstage interview after her Cleveland show.
While she finds it hard to believe in things that go bump in the night, Miley apparently finds the more pop, pretty, pink supernatural fairies a bit more her style. And while she claims she doesn't want anything to do with "Twilight," it apparently doesn't violate her beliefs to work with the financiers behind the project.
That's right. If you remember a few months back, it was announced that Miley would be starring in fairy tale movie "Wings," about a girl who discovers she is a fairy. It is being produced by Temple Hill Productions partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, the duo who brought "Twilight" to the big screen.
This isn't the first time Miley has rebuked the popular trend. She recently claimed "I don't listen to pop music" in an interview that rebuked the style of music her songs belong to, and after months of avid Tweeting, left the social networking site and said, "Twitter should be banned from this universe."
But hey, she's what, 15? What teenager doesn't change their mind on a daily — no make that, hourly — basis?
