This morning Good Charlotte's Joel Madden pondered, "Am i the only one that didn't watch the AMA's?" Rest easy Joel, while the AMA's are still one of today's biggest trend topics on Twitter, you weren't the only one who missed out. "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" actress Taraji P. Henson also forgot about the ceremony, posting, "I am slippin on my pimpin! I totally forgot to record the dang on AMA's." For those who did tune it, the jury is still out on the show itself, but it seems performers and attendees had an awfully good time. Adam Lambert (pictured), who made his first performance post-"American Idol," tweeted in the early hours, "Hope u had fun tonight! We did." Demi Lovato told followers the experience of being there was, "So surreal."
Of course, the AMAs weren't the only thing that got a huge response this weekend. Twihards came out in droves to make "New Moon" the number one movie at the box office. The official "Twilight" twitter page thanked fans this afternoon with, "To the greatest & most supportive fans in the world, a heartfelt THANK YOU for making New Moon #1 across the world this weekend!" Meanwhile, the film's stars, who have been on a whirlwind press tour, have decided to take it easy after opening weekend madness. Justin Chon tweeted, "wow....this weekend was crazy....i think ill be tired for at least a week" and Tinsel Korey will be taking a much needed breather by, "Going to play some Mario Kart on Wii! Woot!"
Check out what else had the celebrity Twitterverse buzzing today, including Busy Phillips' dish on the temporary "Cougartown" shut-down and Kellie Pickler divulges in some Twitter TMI. And don't forget you can follow us every day @hollywoodcrush to get all the latest news on your favorite stars!

As far as fairytales go, Taylor Swift is living a pretty good one. Besides having a hugely successful music career, the young singer (she's turning 20 in December!), has already graced the covers of leading magazines, signed on to work on a line of greeting cards and embarked upon the movie industry. Did we mention that she's somehow managed to maintain a squeaky clean image throughout it all? There's no doubt that moms love her and kids want to be her and so it comes as no surprise that someone has finally decided to turn this girl into a doll.

That's right, thanks to toy marketer Jakks Pacific, you can now purchase your very own and very plastic Taylor Swift (right in time for the holiday season!). The choices range between the "Taylor Swift Performance Collection," which includes three dolls, each featuring snippets from her hit songs, and the "Taylor Swift Fashion Collection," with outfits from her memorable award show and TV appearances. Lets just say we called this one, when we nominated her to play "Barbie" in the new live action movie a couple of months back!

Time recently sat down with Zac Efron to discuss hair, college and movie roles for the upcoming November 30th edition of the magazine. They posed ten questions for Zac and he managed to respond to each one with some absorbing to say. Nevertheless, we found one question to be particularly amusing. Will Zac Efron ever star in an action movie?
“I would love to try an action film at some point, but not too soon. I think that can be a kiss of death. There's got to be a real role that I can bring something unique and specific to, a way for me to do it believably. Until then, I think it would just come across as weird,” Zac had to say of the matter.
Zac’s comments — in particular, the phrase "kiss of death" — got us to thinking about other actors/actresses who have played against type and went for a different kind of role. After the jump, we take a look at a few of those stars and figure out if these atypical roles came out as flat out weird or made a positive impact on their careers.

For some reason, we're perfectly ready to accept stories about vampires, werewolves and wizards. But whenever I've mentioned to friends the premise of Lauren McLaughlin's "Cycler" and its sequel "Recycler" — it's about a teenage girl named Jill who turns into a boy named Jack for four days every month — I've received a lot of question-mark faces. And to be fair, I thought "Cycler" would either be A) a weird, uncomfortable story, heavy on the embarrassing scenes played up for comedy (like "Tootsie" or "Just One of the Guys"), or B) a weird, uncomfortable look at gender identity and sexuality ("Crying Game" or "Boys Don't Cry"). Happily, it's neither, which is probably why it's been snatched up to be made into a movie. (McLaughlin, a veteran screenwriter, is adapting it herself, and she'll be blogging about the process right here tomorrow.)
"Cycler" is actually a warm-hearted, honest, genuinely funny story with an amazing cast of characters — all of whom you can identify with in some way, despite this very weird, uncomfortable situation they find themselves in. Jill has had this condition since she was 14, and after many fruitless consultations with baffled doctors, she and her mother decided that the only way to deal with it is to hide it from the world. So Jack spends his four days locked in the house, and Jill tells her friends and teachers that she has a weird blood disorder that requires in-patient treatment every month. She also does some amazing self-hypnosis so that not even she remembers her days as Jack — and they truly act and think like completely separate people.

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Actress Rumer Willis hasn't had much screen time on "90120" this season, but it looks like that's about to change. Rumer was recently Spotted! taking a break from filming on set in L.A., where she was sporting a funky t-shirt, blue cardigan and a huge smile as she held up her phone (perhaps to take an embarrassing picture of a costar, which she will totally e-mail to us?! OK… we're stretching!). We're guessing her presence on set has something to do with the provocative new storyline ahead of her, in which her character, Gia, gets into a lesbian relationship with formerly straight "90210" resident Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes). Juicy!
Click on the photo above to see if you can spot any spoilers from the set and check out which tiny fashionista hit the streets with her famous mom below the jump.

For those of you who have seen "New Moon" already (and I'm assuming that's most of you out there), you'll know Rachelle Lefevre's Victoria gets a lot more screen time in the film than she does in the book. MTV got a chance to sit down with "The Twilight Saga" screenplay scribe Melissa Rosenberg and ask her about the decision to have a visual instead of just aural Victoria.

"Movies are such a visual medium," said Melissa. "To just be talking about Victoria, or to be hearing about her, isn't visceral enough. You have to actually see her and see the threat that she is; I wanted to keep her alive throughout, so that you knew that the danger to Bella was alive. I also had so much fun writing for her there are a couple of action moments in the middle of the movie that are really fun, and I really wanted to have her in there. It also keeps the pacing of the movie, to see her and to have those conflicts."

It's Monday, November 23, 2009, so since "New Moon" has been out for about three and a half days, I'm assuming everyone reading this has already seen the newest installment of "The Twilight Saga." Twice.
So if you've seen it, you've probably noticed the fact Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Alice (Ashley Greene) flew on a Virgin America flight from Washington to Italy. As Larry Carroll pointed out when he wrote up his "New Moon: Five Fun Facts You Didn't Know" back on November 9 (yes, he got to see it almost two weeks before we did. Unfair!), Virgin America doesn't offer flights from Seattle to Italy. In fact, Virgin America doesn't offer flights to Italy at all.
We cried foul with blatant product placement, but the more we thought about it the more we realized how the "Virgin America" plastered on that flight was much more than just paid advertising. In fact, it was actually really funny and smart.

It's a shame Taylor Swift was out of the country and unable to accept her five American Music Award statuettes — including Best Artist — in person. We always enjoy the 19-year-old's frilly, fairy tale looks on the red carpet. But that doesn't mean our fashion fairy godmother didn't gift us with a few fabulous frocks to fawn over at last night's big event.
With the night's standout look, Barbados beauty Rihanna hit the right note in a black-and-white laser-cut Marchesa that looked more like a beautifully-etched vase than an awards show gown. Take note divas: This is the kind of dress to make a comeback in. Fellow singing siren Shakira also opted for cut-outs, though less-attention-grabbing triangles decorated her sunny yellow Versace minidress.
