Uma Thurman is set to star in the upcoming flick with Robert Pattinson ,"Bel Ami.," according to The Hollywood Reporter. In what seems like a unique pairing, the story is set in the 1890’s centering on George Duroy (Robert), a struggling journalist who came from rags to riches to be one of the most successful men in Paris. Uma Thurman takes her place as the wife of Duroy’s friend. She helps George along his journey to success and later backstabs his friend and marries Duroy. Ouch.

We previously reported that Nicole Kidman was signed on for the part, but then we learned that wasn't the case. Sorry Crushers, we can’t always get it right! Nicole, however was in the running at one point, as she recently told MTV News, "I was [in talks for it], and we couldn't work out the dates."

After attending last night's star-studded New York City "New Moon" premiere, Taylor Lautner was up bright and early (or perhaps he stayed awake all night like his shapeshifting alter ego?) to hit the morning show circuit. First up was a "Today" show one-on-one with Matt Lauer (uh — now we kind of want to know why all four "Today" anchors were in on Kristen Stewart's interview?), where the host worked in one of the sneakiest segues I've ever seen. After asking whether friends and family keep Taylor grounded, Matt cautiously brought up another of Taylor's "friends," Miss Taylor Swift. "How's that going?" he asked, mentioning he'd seen the country star's shoutout to He-Taylor on "SNL."

"She's great. She's a great girl," Taylor said with a big grin. "I was definitely blushing when that happened."

"So you didn't expect it?" Matt asked. "No, it was a surprise," Taylor answered.

In addition to the usual fandemonium/weight gain conversation, Matt also managed to throw in another question likely to send fangirls into a tizzy, asking Taylor about his almost constant shirtlessness in the sequel. "Yeah, it was a little awkward just because we were flming in Vancouver in March. So it's snowing for the whole first month, and I'm the only one wearing the little jean shorts," Taylor replied.

Last night, the stars of the month (or should it be year by now?), the cast of "New Moon," took their place in the New York City spotlight by attending the Cinema Society and D&G screening of the movie at the Landmark Sunshine Theater. It was originally supposed to be a "secret" event (is there really such a thing with the "Twilight" franchise anymore?), but plenty of faces from Manhattan's "elite" circles (um, hi, Ivanka Trump) were still there to support the Saga.

Just looking at the photos above (and the ones from the rest of the evening), it seems as though Kristen Stewart was somehow left off the memo that instructed attendees to "please only wear black or shades of cream tonight." Though she did show up to the carpet in a black Burberry trench coat, she eventually took it off to reveal an olive green Valentino dress. We adore the silhouette and the girly frills, but we're not super keen on the color for the actress, who looks a little washed out in it (her eyes, however, look stunning). As for Kristen's boys, both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner chose sleek black Dolce & Gabbana suits, with Rob's, of course, sans tie and unbuttoned at the top.

Poor Caroline. What did this girl ever do to deserve so many evil vampires taking advantage of her? On last night's "Vampire Diaries," newscaster-turned-vampire Logan Fell was the latest to manipulate sweet Caroline. Well, not so much manipulate as smash her head into a car window. But he used her as bait to get to her mom, the sheriff.

Maybe it's because I didn't really like Logan in the first place, or maybe it's because I'm in a post-"New Moon" exhaustion haze, but I didn't particularly care for "The Turning Point," especially compared to the previous several episodes. It felt more like it was setting up future plots rather than moving the current plot along, if that makes any sense. Kind of like the pilot — it had potential; it just didn't really grab me like other episodes have.

About an hour after Dakota Fanning's Jay Leno gab session last night, we were treated to Taylor Lautner’s appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (Kristen Stewart was in Fallon's hot seat on Wednesday night). But, just like Jay, Jimmy had his own “Twilight” skit try and tickle fans’ funny bones. Jimmy revived his "Robert is Bothered" sketch, which includes the host playing an angry Robert (who inexplicably sounds like John Lennon) sitting in a tree complaining about everything that’s bothering him.

So what was bothering Robert in this installment? Movies, sequels, werewolves, the wolf pack (they are the “O Town of werewolves”) and “New Moon” which should have been called “Twilight 2” because the sequel to “Rocky” wasn’t called “New Rocky.” Sorry, Jimmy, but all we want to see Rob doing in a tree is k-i-s-s-i-n-g.

For a morning that was an all-Robert Pattinson fest (hey, not a bad way to start the day!) Dakota Fanning and Taylor Lautner (who was on "Late Night") opted to take the night shift on the talk show circuit on “New Moon” eve. So, for those of you who were waiting (im)patiently in line for the midnight showings, I’m here to catch you up on what you missed.

Dakota stopped by “The Jay Leno Show” to chat about “Twilight” madness (among other things) but before she hit the stage, there was a “New Moon” treat for viewers. Jay sent staffer sent Mickey Day to the L.A. premiere (lucky!) to report from the scene and gather all the information he would need to make his very own “Twilight” sequel. Mickey soon hit the red carpet to talk to the cast, beginning with an un-PC question to Taylor, asking “How does it feel to have brought millions of girls into puberty?” The always gentlemanly Taylor responded with a simple, “I think it’s the series and the characters.”

After months of filming in rain-drenched Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, "New Moon" stars Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz must have felt right at home in Manhattan as a persistent drizzle lingered over the city. But unlike shoots for their vampire romance, the onscreen duo stayed toasty and dry inside the Times Square Toys "R" Us greeting fans and signing autographs for the final leg of the "Twilight" mall tour.

About 500 lovely ladies and a few fellows (not a surprising ratio by now) waited for hours in a line that snaked around the block, with some like Julianne Castillo and Vanesa Rayes, both 18 from Jamaica, Queens, having been outside since before 6 a.m.

"We got up at four o'clcok in the morning. We were outside by 5:30 in the morning," Julianne said. "We want to be the first ones on line. That's when all the excitement is there from the actors. We want to have the energy on that paper."

For all those "New Moon" fanatics who will be hitting up tonight's midnight screenings, your long wait is officially winding down. If you plan on catching a show tonight in L.A. you might want to keep your eyes akimbo for one of the stars of the film. Tinsel Korey, who plays Emily Young, dropped this news to her West Coast followers, "So excited! Midnight tonight. You might see me pop up at a random theatre in L.A. Look for the motorcycle and chucks :)". Of course, some of the "Twilight" saga's fans are new to the scene and will be checking out the movie a little later in the weekend, like "Cory in the House" actress Madison Pettis, who tweeted, "Watched Twilight (part 1) on dvd last night--LOVED IT!! Can't wait to go see New Moon on Saturday!!"

We know one person who won't be able to make it out to theaters this weekend is poor Jordin Sparks (pictured)! The "American Idol" songstress spread the word today via her Twitter that she, "Was struck w/ acute appendicitis...took out that appendix last night. Recovering today & the next week or so." While Jordin takes it easy (get well soon!), it looks like Justin Bieber is feeling more than sprightly post-sickness, tweeting, "About to go on @itsonalexa on MTV!! Why do I always go on mtv the day after I'm sick. Haha. This is gonna be fun. She wants me. Haha. Jk"

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

We have quite a while till "True Blood" returns with more deliciousness, but that doesn't mean we've forgotten about our favorite cunning (yet sexy!) vampire, Eric (a.k.a. Alexander Skarsgard). Last night, the actor attended GQ's 14th Annual Men of the Year Party (Chris Pine, Bradley Cooper and Obama were among the men honored on the cover of the mag's newest issue) at the Chateau Marmont in L.A. We appreciate his layered, casual look and how smooth and clean-shaven his face was, but that's not why he was worthy of a post — check out who is in the picture on the right with him!

Yes, that's Kate Bosworth standing right in front of Alex. Yes, they are standing awfully close. And no, we have no idea what he's staring at either. What we do know is that back in October, when Alex picked up a trophy at the Scream Awards for Best Villain, he may have picked up something else as well — a new girlfriend. We, too, noticed then that he and Kate, who presented him with the award, were being a tad flirty. Now, it seems (much to our dismay) that the Swede could very well be dating the California girl! What do you guys think?

Check out who else MTV Spotted!, including Taylor Swift in London, Ashley Greene at the MoMA, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen at a Tim Burton event and more!

Would you be surprised to hear we have one more Robert Pattinson trailer to show you before tomorrow's big "New Moon" premiere? Probably not, right? But what if we told you it had nothing to do with sparkling vampires? In a feat of epic timing, Summit has released the trailer for Rob's other 2010 film "Remember Me" right in time to coincide with the hoopla surrounding the sequel's release. And in typical RPattz style, the comely actor is all brooding melancholy in this first sneak peek.

The film centers around a pair of star-crossed lovers (sound familiar?) dealing with their own family tragedies. The trailer opens on Tyler (Rob) trying to break up a street fight, ultimately leading to his arrest and a bloodied face (which explains all those paparazzi shots of a worse-for-the-wear Rob strolling through New York City). When Tyler's father Charles, played by Pierce Brosnan, comes to bail him out, it's clear there's no love lost between father and son. "You could do worse than a father who bails you out of jail," Charles says. "I don't want to be bailed out of anything," Tyler shoots back.
