If there’s one actress who isn’t afraid to confront the rumor mill, it’s the bold Kate Hudson. And in the January edition of Harper’s Bazaar, she does just that! Gracing the cover for the new year, Kate’s all smiles in a white halter top where she dished about heartbreak, her ex-husband Chris Robinson and current boyfriend New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez.
Call her a hopeless romantic but the “Nine” actress couldn’t be more optimistic about love. “I'd rather hang out with a person who's done everything than who's done nothing. It would suck to die and not have experienced my life, really,” Kate revealed. “I mean, I think you should keep your eyes open. Blinders are fun for a second, but they have to come off eventually. And I believe it's important to get to know people, to really get to know them.”
In the spread, Kate is shot throughout the city including a deli where she’s nibbles on a hot dog in a chic silver mini dress. In another shot, the actress is seen wearing a bushy white wedding dress (seen below) and strutting across a crosswalk holding two bouquets of red roses. With her sense of humor, Kate’s probably poking fun at the wedding rumors that have her and her Yankee walking down the aisle.
The mentally still hasn’t caused Kate to grow an ill-feeling towards her ex-husband and referring to him as a “great dad” to their son Ryder Russell Robinson. "I feel really lucky. When we first met, it was so immediate. I had no question in my mind I was supposed to marry him and have children with him.”
But as they say, when one door closes, another opens. The actress is currently dating A-Rod and isn’t afraid to bring him back to the loved ones this holiday season.
"My mother never shook anybody's hand. She has kissed and hugged her way through life. [My family had] an open-door policy. We were never afraid to bring the wrong person home. They were always open to our failures."
Kate’s cover of Bazaar hits stands on December 15!
