Just as we suspected, last night's episode of "One Tree Hill" revealed that Jana Kramer's character, actress/model/budding screenwriter Alex Dupre, survived her shocking suicide attempt. When we caught up with Jana last week, she told us what she hopes will happen to Alex as she recovers: that the movie Alex and Julian (Austin Nichols) wrote together goes into production.
"I think that's the only way I would stay in Tree Hill — if they film the movie," she explained to Hollywood Crush. "That's how I think it's going to go. I want that for her — I want the character to be happy and successful and have something good happen to her."
A positive turn of events would be nice for a change, since Alex has gone from drug addiction to rehab to getting fired from her modeling gig at Clothes Over Bros. Another character facing a life-changing crossroads is Millie (Lisa Goldstein), Brooke's (Sophia Bush) formerly mousy assistant whom Alex took under her wing and transformed into an outgoing party girl. But instead of simply coming out of her shell, Millie seems to be spiraling out of control. "I know, it's terrible!" said Jana. What's next for Millie? "Well I can tell you that she feels awful [about] what she said to Alex. I think that's going to help her clean her act up, because I think she feels really guilty for everything that she does."
There's a difference between coming out of your shell and taking it to excess by experimenting with cocaine. Although Alex played a part in that process, Jana said that Alex should not feel responsible for Millie's drug problem. "I think everyone should have full responsibility for the actions that they do. [Millie] did all of this herself. No one forced her to do drugs. She did drugs because she has a problem and hopefully she'll get help because of it. You can't really force someone to do that — they have do it for themselves. I feel like she realizes that she screwed up a lot in her life and now shes like 'Wow, I need help.'"
Are you glad Alex survived her suicide attempt? How do you feel about her character's plotline? What do you think will happen to Millie in the coming weeks? Will Alexs' movie get made?
