Carrie Underwood fans have a lot to be excited about! Not only is she up for two Grammys, but she announced yesterday that she will be hitting the road in March to kick off her North American tour. In a statement on her site she wrote, "I am getting so excited about next year as we are currently working through all the big plans for the tour. I cannot wait to perform new music and see familiar faces across the U.S. and Canada!"
The first leg of 45 shows runs through May 30 with tickets for all shows going on sale starting next Friday, December 18. Joining Carrie on the stage will be special guests Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia.
Carrie has spent the past year working hard recording tracks for her newest album, Play On, which has sold more than 700,000 in just five weeks. Play On earned the highest first-week sales of the year for any solo country artist and makes Carrie the only country act in Nielsen SoundScan history to achieve first-week sales of more than 300,000 units on each of their first three albums.
Fans can expect to hear brand new songs off Play On as the tour makes stops all across the United States and Canada. The first pit-stop is on March 11 in Reading, PA, and the shows wrap up in Spokane, WA on May 30. Check out Carrieās official site for more details on the tour, including dates and stops.
