We know that Hanukkah is eight days, but given the fact that only five of them happen during the work week, we've decided to keep to that number when we created a list of our favorite Hanukkah-celebrating guys in Hollywood. So enjoy our Hanukkah hotties over the next week as we look back on some of the coolest things these guys have done this past year.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has grown up right before our eyes. He's no longer the teenage alien on "3rd Rock from the Sun" or the bumbling, nerdy Cameron in "10 Things I Hate About You." And in 2009, this Golden Globe nominee found success in the summer. And, we loved watching him on screen for every single moment of it.

Vital Stats: The 28-year-old L.A. native grew up around showbiz types. His dad was news director for the Pacifica Radio station, KPFK-FM, his mom worked on politics and his grandfather was a director. But, he didn't just expect to make it, he even went to Columbia University for a spell.
What he did in 2009: Well he spent "(500) Days of Summer" in love with Zooey Deschanel and we're still hoping that somewhere along the way he'll fall for us. The role not only gained him an even stronger female following but also got him a Best Actor: Musical or Comedy Golden Globe nomination today. He hosted "Saturday Night Live" and starred in the little action flick, "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra."
What he's up to in 2010: Well the Golden Globes happen early in the year so it's only a matter of time before we know if Joseph can bring home the gold. But, he's also got a bunch of projects up his sleeve including "Elektra Luxx," "Hesher" and "Inception."
Come back tomorrow when reveal our second Hannukkah Hottie — one who knows his way down the "October Road"
The Golden Globes air January 17th on NBC and MTV News will have it covered every which way, with photos, interviews, analysis, live blogs and more!
