Rumors have been swirling for months that The CW's quickly canceled series "The Beautiful Life: TBL" would somehow walk the runway again, most likely during the network's quiet summer season. But according to Reuters, creator Ashton Kutcher has decide to resurrect the series online.
Only two episodes of the model drama aired before the network pulled the plug in September. Ashton has three additional episodes in the can and is planning to upload all five to YouTube, with the first three going up today and the remaining two premiering December 21.
Ashton isn't releasing the episodes just to give fans closure (we already sniffed out the series' spoilers months ago if you're curious); he's hoping online success may entice advertisers to finance future online-only episodes.
"What we feel like we're doing is creating, in some ways, an industry first," Ashton told Reuters. "A show that couldn't find its legs on television, we believe can find its legs on the Web." From what our sources tell us, the next few episodes are super juicy, so the series certainly does stand a chance. Though few have found success with the online-only format, if anyone can do it, it's the guy who "Punk'd" Justin Timberlake.
What do you think, Crushers? Will you be hopping online to watch the unaired episodes of "The Beautiful Life: TBL"? Or are you finished with the series?
