He hasn't even worked his first shift as Mystic Falls' hunky new bartender, but "Reunion" star Sean Faris has already landed himself a spot on the cover of Men's Health touting his new role and his killer physique.
Sean's multi-episode arc begins Jan. 21 with the first "Vampire Diaries" episode after the holiday hiatus. As we reported earlier, Sean plays an ex-footballer-turned-bartender who may be romancing one of the series' lovely ladies. No word yet on whether he flashes his six pack to woo that special girl, but the 27-year-old did spill to the mag about how he got his body in tip-top shape—words of wisdom us ladies can live by too.
Sean, who works out several times a week, says it's not about how much you lift but how well you lift it. (I for one would be more than willing to be his spotter). “I see so many people in the gym just slinging weights around," he explained. "You can accomplish more if you squeeze the reps out in perfect form, instead of going big and trying to kill it every time.”

But working out is only half the equation for the fit star—he's also super conscientious about what he puts in his body. “Cooking at home is key to being in shape," he said. "You can order a salad in a restaurant, but not know what you’re getting." But just like everyone, from time to time, the actor does indulge in a hot fudge sundae or two. “If I’m going to cheat, I do it right," he added.
What do you think of Sean's Men's Health cover? Are you excited to see him on "Vampire Diaries" next month?
