Thanks to the Diamond Information Center, we already knew that country crooner Carrie Underwood's new ring from her finance, Mike Fisher, was a major looker — it was estimated at around $150,000 and said to to be a 5-plus carat round diamond with diamond sidestones.
But now, more details about her bling have been unearthed. The center stone seen on Carrie (during Mike's Ottawa Senators game last week) is a flawless yellow diamond, which was designed by jeweler Johnathon Arndt. “This ring is a symbol of love from Mike Fisher to Carrie Underwood,” the artist said in a release. "Warm Wishes and Congratulations to Carrie and Mike!!!"
Celine Dion and Stephen Spielberg can be counted among Jonathon'a fans, along with Carrie, who has worn his designs in the past for many other noteworthy events in her life. In November, she unveiled a fey key pieces in his upcoming 2010 collection as she hosted the 2009 CMA Awards and sported accesories like a 28 ct. diamond pendant necklace. She's also been iced by the brand for the 2009 Grammys (check out those drop earrings!) and for the 2009 CNN Heroes Awards (she wore a diamond and blue sapphire necklace valued at $1.2 million!).
Other celebrities showing off yellow gold diamonds on their ring fingers include: "American Idol" host Kara DioGuardi and "Project Runway" host and model Heidi Klum.
What do you think of Carrie's ring now that you know it's a yellow diamond?
