Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
If the fact that it's winter and December didn't give it away, you might've guessed from looking at the Spotted! photos from oh, every other day this week that its pretty freakin' cold in New York City right now. That's why "The Vampire Diaries" star (and recently named number three Hump Day Hottie of 2009) Paul Wesley kept warm in a slick black pea coat as he headed into the Cort Theatre to watch Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber in the first preview of the Arthur Miller play "A View from the Bridge" on Monday night. Hmm, the theater sounds like a good way to pass the time before "VD" returns in January.

Brad Pitt, still sporting those weird beard dreadlocks (uh, is he auditioning for a part in a new "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequel?), dropped by the NYC set of his other-half, Angelina Jolie's spy thriller "Salt" with daughters Shiloh and Zahara yesterday. Brad stayed toasty inside a hooded black pea coat (is that now the unofficial hot dude winter uniform?), while the ladies sported puffy jackets, hats, and earmuffs. Zahara balanced out the edgy skull design on her hat with some fluffy pink earmuffs — that's our kind of gal!
