The dawn of a new year is always the best time to examine where we went wrong in the previous 365 days. So, as 2010 begins, we here at Hollywood Crush are making our annual New Year's resolutions — they involve going to the gym more, eating better, watching less reality TV — you know, the usual. (I'm also contemplating starting a pool to see which of these I break first ... and when.)
For our favorite movie and TV characters, resolution-worthy problems are a bit more complicated. From "Gossip Girl" student, little Jenny Humphrey's over-reliance on eyeliner to "90210" teach Mr. Matthews girl problems (one of his 99 problems is most definitely female-related), 2009 was a tricky year. Here are our self-imposed New Year's resolutions for pop culture characters from "New Moon," "True Blood," "Glee," "Harry Potter" and more!

Jacob Black ("The Twilight Saga"): Wear more shirts. Until I turn 18, at least.
Jason Stackhouse ("True Blood"): Wear fewer shirts.
Ryan Matthews ("90210"): Date a girl who isn't a.) a cop, b.) a coworker, or c.) a lying, manipulative hussy.
Dan Scott ("One Tree Hill"): Don't lose any more vital transplant organs to hungry dogs.
Stu Price ("The Hangover"): Don't pull any more of my own teeth while intoxicated.

Rachel Berry ("Glee"): Lust after someone who doesn't have a girlfriend who's eating for two.
Hermione Granger ("Harry Potter"): Finish school at Hogwarts after Harry, Ron, and I take care of this problem we like to call: Voldemort.
Jenny Humphrey ("Gossip Girl"): Buy some eye makeup remover.
Elena Gilbert ("The Vampire Diaries"): Make some friends without supernatural powers. Or at least make friends with powers that are useful to me.
Mikaela Banes ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"): Try not to wear white pants next time I save the world. Additionally, aim to find a more supportive sports bra to wear under my tank top.
