This past Saturday, the Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, Georgia echoed as upcoming band “We the Kings” entertained a nearly mile long line of "Vampire Diaries" fans as they anxiously waited to meet the cast of hit CW show.
From Virginia, to South Carolina, and even Chicago, die hard fans traveled from all over to catch a glimpse of the cast. More than 500 people were able to shake hands and get an autograph from the 10 cast members present, while several hundred waited outside of the Hot Topic in hopes of a glimpse at their favorite Mystic Falls resident. The first in line was a mom and daughter duo who had been waiting since 7:45 in the morning to guarantee their spot in line to meet the crew. Though the screaming was a few octaves lower than the “New Moon” cast appearance at the Mall of Georgia in November, these fans were much more determined to win the hearts of their favorite cast member.

Miley Cyrus in on board, as well as Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey and Michael Buble to cover R.E.M.'s classic tune, "Everybody Hurts," for a Haiti benefit single that "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell is organizing. And, now comes word that Simon is trying to get — wait for it — "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson to sing on the track.
Robert does have musical abilities, so it isn’t that crazy that he would want to help out the victims of the Haiti earthquake in this way (he was on hand for last Friday's "Hope for Haiti" benefit as well). But, sources tell the UK's The Sun that Rob, who contributed to the "Twilight" soundtrack and sang in his movie "How To Be," isn't sure he wants to work with Simon.

He may have lost the role of Conan the Barbarian to "Stargate Atlantis" actor Jason Momoa, but "Twilight" star Kellan Lutz has muscled his way into a new role in the romantic comedy "First Love, Then Marriage."
According to JustJared.com, Kellan will play Mandy Moore's husband in the rom-com, which also reportedly stars Blythe Danner (a.k.a. Gwyneth Paltrow's mom) and Christopher Walken. The film centers around Mandy's marriage counselor character, who after finding out her parents have separated, does all she can to bring them back together, to the detriment of her own new marriage.

Alexander Skarsgård fans are in for a double dose of excitement when the actor returns for the third season of "True Blood." According to the actor himself and other members of the cast, Alexander will spend the upcoming season focused squarely on two things — nudity and revenge.
According to Alexander's "True Blood" costars Todd Lowe (who plays Merlotte's cook Terry Bellefleur) and Carrie Preston (who plays Merlotte's waitress Arlene Fowler), the actor has been filming plenty of nude scenes over the course of the show's third season.
"He's already been naked a time or two so far since we've gotten back to filming," Todd told E! Online. "A lot of people will be getting naked this season."

Kevin Jonas and Selena Gomez were among the more than 130 musicians, actors and athletes who donated their time and talent Friday night to raise awareness for the crisis in Haiti. As a part of "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief," the two joined forces with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Wyclef Jean and many others who performed and answered donors’ phone calls as a part of the star-studded telethon.
Kevin, who along with his brothers participated by answering donation calls, told MTV News about how critical it is for young people to get involved, in whatever way possible. “Every little bit matters," he said. "It's not one person doing a huge amount; it's every person doing every little thing they can."

With Sundance still in full swing, MTV got a chance to catch up with actor Chris Cooper in Park City and ask him about what is sure to be one of the bigger movies of the year: "Remember Me." Though the film isn't at the film festival, Chris had a few things to share about working with Robert Pattinson.
"We put up barricades 90 feet from the scene, and the people and paparazzi just didn't care," Chris said about the people who would swarm to watch scenes with Rob being filmed. "Robert was really under the gun, under a lot of pressure, and I know he's kind of learning to deal with it. And it's a lot to deal with."

Have Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning abandoned their movie careers for rock-star living? Well, probably not but on Saturday night, the stars of "The Runways" joined Joan Jett onstage at a Sundance Film Festival party.
According to People, when Joan Jett & The Blackhearts hit the stage at Harry O's, where the band was there to party alongside the actresses and director Floria Sigismondi, who helmed the film about Joan's '70s band. For every red carpet success, there are about 10 epic fails. Sad, yes, but also true. We're not sure where these ladies went wrong during the award show dress-picking process, but we do know that someone needs to set them straight. Which is why we're here, of course. We've combed through all the dresses from this weekend's Screen Actor's Guild Awards and picked out what we feel are the six worst ensembles. Here's hoping these mistakes aren't repeated!
So, after Anna Paquin's Golden Globes dress disaster, we had hope, real hope, that the actress would bounce back for the SAG Awards. Alas, we were disappointed .. .big time. The "True Blood" star showed up to the carpet in a short, printed Alexander McQueen dress more suited for the after party than the awards ceremony. Nonetheless, the dress was a major downgrade even from her Globes ensemble. Although, on the flip side, at least the shoes matched this time! Another red carpet offender was Drew Barrymore. The "Whip It" star hit the red carpet in a dark blue dress, that we didn't completely dislike. In fact, from the waist-up the corset style top wasn't half bad (the waist-down, however, is another story). What really hurt her look however was the makeup, or better yet, lack thereof. Really Drew, would a dash of lipstick have hurt?

These last few weeks have been pretty award show heavy. First, we had the People's Choice Awards, then the Golden Globes and now, most recently the Screen Actors Guild awards. Not that we're complaining of course! But we can totally understand if you've got award show fatigue. That's why we're here — to help you skip through all the boring stuff (aka the speeches) and get to the stuff you really want to know, like who looked good on the red carpet! So, without further delay, here's our list of the SAG's top six best dressed ladies. Check it out and let us know if you agree.
Lea Michele, you've done your "Glee" fans proud! Lea looked absolutely stunning at the SAG awards red carpet in an eye-catching green Catherine Malandrino gown, with ruffled sleeves and ruched waist. We loved the color of the dress, which totally complemented her dark hair, and the fact that Lea didn't go overboard (as so many stars do), on the accessories. In fact, we were this close to giving Lea top honors as the night's best dressed starlet...but then we caught sight of Diane Kruger. The "Inglorious Bastards" star didn't exactly impress us with her bubblegum pink gown at the Globes last week, but she fully redeemed herself at the SAGs. Diane stole the spotlight in a marigold ensemble by Jason Wu, which totally evoked old Hollywood. Kudos to both ladies for choosing off beat colors!

FROM MOVIES BLOG: Sex, drugs, rock n' roll and the girls from "Twilight"?!? Don't have too big a laugh though because Kristen Stewart and most especially Dakota Fanning rock the house with the best of them in "The Runaways," an electrifying if formulaic account of the brief rise and fall of the titular band.
Forget the executive producer credit for Joan Jett, the true telling credit for the film is where director Floria Sigismondi found her source material--lead singer Cherie Currie's memoir.
Indeed, "The Runaways" is owned and just about swallowed up by Fanning's riveting portrayal of the singer (not too dissimilar from the way Currie overwhelmed the group). First glimpsed as a teen literally transforming into a woman, this is the performance that seems sure to launch Fanning into a new thrilling phase of her career. From a sulking broodish David Bowie enthusiast to a howling rock goddess Fanning sells sells sells. I'd watch that band. Hells yeah.
