It's Valentine's Day Week here on Hollywood Crush, so stay with us as we celebrate the titular movie and the national holiday over the next five days with celebrities' personal V-Day stories, romance tips and interviews with the "Valentine's Day" cast!
Though Jessica Alba has been off the dating scene for three years now, we're sure many guys out there would value her advice pretty highly when it comes to figuring out how they should treat their lady. With her film "Valentine's Day" hitting theaters Friday, and Valentine's Day itself right around the corner, MTV News decided to ask Jessica what her dating dos and don'ts are.
Eye contact: DO
"Okay, yeah, eye contact's good, especially if you want it to go to the next level."
Paying for the check: DO
"Absolutely pick it up. Pick it up. Hopefully she offers, but that's just a gesture. You should pick it up."
Texting at the table: DON'T
"Just excuse yourself to the restroom. It looks very annoying."
Ordering for her: DEPENDS
"You should talk about it, and then if she seems like the kind of girl that would appreciate you doing that — you kind of have to read her. And you should also order two desserts. You should order the one she's going to order, and the one that she really wants. A lot of girls, especially in the beginning, will try to order something healthy even though they want something more decadent... And you guys can share."
Physical contact like "The Reach Over": DON'T
"The Reach Over's weird. You can play footsy."
After sharing her vast wells of advice, Jessica promptly replied when asked if she missed dating, "Not at all."
So ladies, weigh in! Do you agree with Jessica's advice? Do you love or hate dating? Share your thoughts in the comments section below and on Twitter!
