It's Valentine's Day Week here on Hollywood Crush, so stay with us as we celebrate the titular movie and the national holiday over the next five days with celebrities' personal V-Day stories, romance tips and interviews with the "Valentine's Day" cast!
It seems as though the happily married stars of "Valentine's Day" are full of Valentine's Day advice for all couples out there. Yesterday we shared Jessica Alba's dos and don'ts of dating, and today we have Ashton Kutcher giving his own views on proper V-Day etiquette.
"I actually think that Valentine's Day must start first thing in the morning," Ashton admitted. "I really, really do believe the only way you're really going to catch somebody off-guard on Valentine's Day is when they're waking up."
Coincidentally, so does his character in the film, who proposed to his girlfriend (played by Jessica Alba) by waking her up. Whether it works out for better or worse will only be determined in theaters Friday, but early morning romance certainly does start Valentine's Day off on the right foot.
"By waiting till the end of the day, now you have to compete with what everyone else has done throughout the day," he said. "So if you hit it first thing in the morning, they're all competing with you and you set the bar. Do not leave it hanging. At least plant the seed."
His costar Jennifer Garner agreed. "You don't want to leave someone hanging until after lunch for Valentine's Day," she told MTV.
Hearing all this advice from these two really makes us wonder: how does Ashton surprise Demi, and how does Ben treat Jen? Hopefully we will find out the answer to the first question Sunday morning via Twitter!
