Life may have come unexpected for "Life Unexpected" star Kristoffer Polaha, but this Hump Day Hottie — and his funny-sounding name — has managed to charm us week after week playing the boyish Baze on the new Monday night CW show, which is currently filling the spot left void by "Gossip Girl." Although there isn't a whole lot of gossip to anchor the show, there is plenty of witty banter and we kind of can't get enough of it!
Press play on the video below to see more of Kristoffer, and then keep reading for more details about him!
Vital Stats: The 32-year-old grew up in Reno, Nevada and he is married with two kids. Although Kristoffer has managed to accept the responsibility in his life, he admits he can see himself in his "Life Unexpected" persona.
"Not only do I like Baze, but I'm kinda like him. Well, if I didn't get married and have kids, I would probably be this guy. He smokes pot, he drinks, he plays video games, he isn't accountable to anyone," Kris recently said in a recent interview with the NY Post. "I'm 32 years old, so I'm still in the age group where I have a lot of friends like that. So I still definitely witness this lifestyle first-hand. I have a lot of compassion for Baze."
Where you might have already seen him: This isn’t the first time he's hit the small screen with Shiri Appleby. He starred in an episode of "Roswell." Plus, he's had recurring roles on a number of shows including "Mad Men," "Valentine," "Miss Guided" and "North Shore."
Why you should take notice of him now: He plays man child bar owner Nate "Baze" Bazile on the quirky CW dramedy. And, when his daughter, the sarcastic, fair-haired Luxe comes into his life for the first time, he must learn to man up and somehow have a relationship with her, the girl he had the baby with (Shiri) and her fiancé (Kerr Smith).
"What you'll see is this guy who so badly wants to do the right thing since he dropped the ball so spectacularly at 16," he said. "Now at 32, when Lux shows up, it's his moment. We're just about to start shooting the finale and there are some powerful scenes between Baze and his father — as an actor, I'm just so happy.
Until next Wednesday, when we nominate yet another Hump Day Hottie, you can gawk at Kristoffer and the rest of our past HDH's by clicking on his photo below!
