Justin Timberlake knows that having his William Rast line show at Fashion Week is kind of a big deal. And when MTV News caught up with the Renaissance Man, he admitted that even though he and his business partner, Trace Ayala, had been designing their William Rast line for a few seasons now, it still unbelievable to be showing during Fashion Week.
"It's the pinnacle [to show at fashion week]," Justin explained moments before the models hit the runway on Wednesday night at Cedar Lake in Manhattan. "It's what you strive to be able to do. This is like the Super Bowl of fashion, so we're happy to be on the field."
Justin explained that although the collection, which was full of rich leathers and luxury denim, looks really expensive, it's not going to leave you broke. "And thinking about the consumer in this financial weather ... that's been weighing heavily on our minds," he said. "A lot of what you see on the runway will be very wearable, so that's what I think we're really excited about."
The line, inspired by the Midwest, nomads and bikers, may have found a fan in Justin's lady love Jessica Biel, who sat front row at his show, but he found it harder to peg down his favorite piece. "I don't know. There's so many pieces I love. I'm excited about the footwear," he said. "Some of our leathers are great. Some of the tweed is great. Some of the sweaters are great."
Will you be buying any new pieces from the William Rast collection?
