Since he first hit it big in 2003 with "The OC," Josh Schwartz has been busy making TV gold. He is the (co-)mastermind behind the sinful "Gossip Girl" and wonderfully nerdy "Chuck," and is responsible for making the careers of current young hotties Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Rachel Bilson and Zachary Levi. And Mischa Barton for a brief stint of time before she pissed him off so much he killed her off "The OC" (even better: Cam Gigandet did the deed!).
Well, now Josh is trying to expand his horizons to the film industry. He is already set to remake the 80s flop "Bright Lights, Big City," but now New York Magazine's Vulture blog scooped that he is set to remake another 80s bomb. According to the Vulture, Josh is going to take a stab at the 1981 Franco Zeffirelli film, "Endless Love."

Matthew Goode, the English heartthrob who earned rave reviews for his role as Colin Firth's lover in "A Single Man," didn't mince words about some of his less well-received movie choices in a recent interview with the UK's Telegraph.
Matthew admitted that he chose to costar in "Leap Year" mainly because the film's Ireland location offered him a chance to shoot home to England on weekends. "It wasn't because of the script, trust me."

Coca-Cola has released a great new featurette for July's Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer-starring (and ShoWest award winning!) "Beastly," and where we were complaining about how little the teaser gave us to work with, this new featurette has given us everything we could have asked for.
It starts off with a brand new teaser at the beginning which sets up the story: Alex's Kyle Kingston is vain and beautiful, and because of that Mary-Kate Olsen's "witch" Kendra Hilferty sets a curse on him which makes him ugly. Vanessa's Linda Taylor is the hidden beauty at school ("What can I say? I'm substance over style," she tells Kyle early on) who Kyle notices after his transformation, and who he sets out to make love him so Kendra's curse will be broken.

When you make fun of your costar for being "extremely uncomfortable" while smooching a woman, when you talk openly about what a "lunatic" you are, when you claim "Office Space" is your favorite movie but quite possibly have never seen it — when you do all of this, as Megan Fox has, you open yourself up for some criticism. And goodness knows Megan has taken a ton of media hits since "Jennifer's Body" tanked at the box office last September.
But has a leading Hollywood lady ever received condemnation so disproportionate to what she really deserves? Is Megan really so maddeningly terrible? Not at all, says Mickey Rourke, who went so far as to call her the finest actress he's ever encountered.

There's plenty forward to in the season one return of "Glee" this April (all-Madonna episode, anyone?) and the singing debut of Sue Sylvester is certainly one of them. Jane Lynch, who plays the prickly cheer leading coach we all love to hate (and who loves to hate Will Schuester), told the blog Zap2it that she'll be belting out the classic 80s tune "Let's Get Physical" with none other than the song's originator, Olivia Newton-John.
Besides getting the opportunity to "chillax" with the "Grease" star, Jane says she was always a huge fan of Olivia's. So much so, she named her dog after her! Jane also noted that "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy pondered when the show first started, "Wouldn't it be great if we could get Olivia Newton-John on?" All it took, besides Jane's pleading, was sending Olivia copies of the show and a letter, to get her to agree to be a guest star on an episode.
Will you be tuning in for the Olivia Newton-John episode, Gleeks? Are you hoping they'll belt out some "Grease" tunes as well?

There are a little over three weeks until "The Runaways" hits theaters (on March 19, but we know you've been marking your calendars for this one), but we've been a bit left in the dark as far as footage goes. Maybe it's because a lucky few got to see the film at Sundance, but all the rest of us poor individuals have gotten to see is a teaser trailer, some clips and a collection of stills and a poster.
But fortunately Apparition decided to stop letting word-of-mouth do all the heavy-lifting, and has released a TV spot today showing some great new footage which fleshes out visually what we already know of the story. Plus there's that great cherry bomb graphic at the end (yes, a cherry blowing up like a bomb) that makes the whole thing worthwhile.

With so many great movies coming out in the next few weeks (though we know you won't forget to see "Remember Me") it's hard to keep up with all of them, even for celebs. Reality star Audrina Partridge (pictured) is counting down to see Johnny Depp in the new "Alice in Wonderland" posting, "i cant wait for alice n wonderland to come out!!!!.... so excited for the movie." Selena Gomez had her own movie excitement going on — a marathon to catch up on all the latest releases. She tweeted, "Percy Jackson was amazing! 2 movies in one night.. Needed that!"
Elsewhere, other stars were preoccupied with the animated world on the small screen. Singer Kellie Picker (pictured) sent a not-so-subtle message to the folks at "Family Guy" posting, "I want to be a guest character on FAMILY GUY!!!! really, really, really, really bad!!! Hey Family Guy, "PICK PICKLER"!!!!" While actress Felicia Day had a cartoon-like experience herself when she told followers, "Just took a yoga class with a dude who sounded just like Mr Mackey from South Park. Couldn't stop giggling.'Lengthen your right leg, Mmkay?'"

With chick-lit queen Emily Giffin's bestseller "Something Borrowed" making its way to the big screen (starring Ginnifer Goodwin, no less!)and the success of the Isla Fisher-starring Sophie Kinsella adaptation "Confessions of a Shopaholic," it only makes sense Sophie is getting a second adaptation of her own. Universal is adapting Sophie's "The Undomestic Goddess" and has just signed a director.
The Hollywood Reporter says Andy Flickman will be directing the project. The director behind kid-friendly projects like "The Game Plan" and "Race to Witch Mountain" as well as the Amanda Bynes' 2006 hit "She's The Man" just recently wrapped the Disney film "You Again," which stars Kristen Bell, Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis and Kristen Chenoweth.

Freida Pinto, the gorgeous actress who got her start in Oscar-winner "Slumdog Millionaire," has signed on to star in an upcoming mythological action film focused around the struggle between humans and the Greek Titans, Variety reports. Before you start trying to wrap your mind around how Freida is going to become a part of "Clash of the Titans," which hits theaters in a month, we've got to tell you, it's not that historical epic.
It's kind of humorous to look back a year and a half and see the article Variety first ran when they announced that Universal would be moving forward with "War of the Gods" around the same time Warner Bros. signed Sam Worthington to "Clash of the Titans." Back then, Variety guessed that "War" would be the first to hit theaters, but now it is only set to begin production in April when "Clash" will be hitting theaters.
