Sean Faris may no longer be stalking the woods of Mystic Falls on the "Vampire Diaries," but that doesn't mean his dance with The CW is over. The 27-year-old actor has just been cast as the lead in the series "The Wyoming Project," penned by "Gilmore Girls" writer Amy Sherman-Palladino. We're betting execs saw his hot, hot Men's Health cover and knew they couldn't let the star flee too far.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the drama centers around Sean's character Gideon Thorpe, "a horse trainer who becomes the patriarch of a Wyoming ranch responsible for his three younger sisters after their parents die."

If they thought sectionals was going to be a big deal, wait until the kids of McKinley High find out their latest gig. According EW.com, the cast of "Glee" have been invited to the White House by First Lady Michelle Obama! They would be performing for the annual White House Eater Egg Roll on April 5, adding to an already impressive resume which includes singing at the 2009 World Series.
It turns out, Mrs. Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia are huge fans of the hit Fox show (which returns on Tuesday, April 13). EW also notes that producers of the show, "did some lickety-split schedule rejiggering in order to honor the request." No word yet on what the cast, which includes stars Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison and Cory Monteith, will be singing for President Barack Obama and his family. May we suggest a mash up of "Hail To The Chief" and the already "Glee"-recorded "Bust Your Windows"?
What do you think of this news Gleeks?

Happy birthday to Dakota Fanning, who is official sweet sixteen today! Though she celebrated her birthday in high Beverly Hills style Saturday night, now Dakota is officially 16 which means honestly, absolutely nothing. After all, when has age ever stopped her before?
Click on the photo below to see Dakota's career evolve throughout the years and keep reading to discover how she created such an impressive filmography for herself!
In fact, turning 17 will probably be a bigger deal for the young actress as it will mark a decade of her influence in Hollywood. Dakota became the youngest person ever, at age seven, to be nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role opposite Sean Penn in "I Am Sam." Though she didn't win (she lost to Helen Mirren in "Gosford Park"), such a big honor for Dakota's first ever film role foreshadowed the trajectory of her career since.

While on hiatus from "Mad Men" the always-charming Jon Hamm has grown a beard (may it rest in peace), hosted "Saturday Night Live" and starred in one this year's Sundance Film Festival favorites, "Howl" (opposite the equally handsome James Franco).
But, "Howl" wasn't the only movie project Jon kept busy with, as he also stars in this year's "The Town," which costars none other than "Gossip Girl" actress Blake Lively, causing two of TV's most beloved worlds to collide (though we can't imagine Serena lasting too long at Sterling Cooper!).

It's official, moviegoers hearts will always go on for Leonardo DiCaprio. The actor's latest film, the thriller "Shutter Island" was #1 at the box office this weekend and the Twitterverse certainly liked what they saw from Leo (pictured with "Shutter" director Martin Scorsese). Actress Lucy Hale pondered, "How amazing is Leo dicaprio?!?," while Ashley Benzo answered with a resounding, "This movie is so amazing Leonardo is ridiculously talented." Meanwhile, Joel Madden had a very different movie going experience, posting, "I went and saw shutter island. Oddly it reminded me of my relationship. i'm pretty sure nicole pulled the same stuff on me. ANd here i am."
While film fans were pleased with "Shutter Island," Canadian hockey fans were none too happy about what they witnessed on the Olympics this weekend. British Columbia native Daniel Cudmore griped, "Felt a bit depressed this morning, I know Ryan Miller played well, but have you seen the talent on the Canadian bench...what the F!!" Fellow Canuck Justin Bieber was equally dumbfounded: "WHAT?!?!?! I get on a plane and the US beats CANADA in HOCKEY!?!?! WHAT HAPPENED?!?! Keep your heads up fellas. We can still win the gold." Only Jim Carrey, who originally hails from Ontario, gave props to the USA for their win, "I thought the USA hockey team played great against Canada."

So here's the thing: we thought Kristen Stewart looked classy at this weekend's British Film Academy Awards in all white, but we did wish the dress had fit better (and that she had better posture!). Anyway, she seemed to channel at least one of our recommendations at the Elle UK Style Awards today. She wore a great pleated strapless Pucci dress, which we thought was much more form fitting than her Chanel piece at the BAFTAs. Still though, we wish the girl would stand up just a little bit straighter and smile just a little bit brighter for the cameras! After all, she's got reason, Kstew was announced as Elle's Woman of the Year — that's a pretty big deal!

Jay Leno's definitely going all out for his March 1st return to the "Tonight Show" on NBC. The talk show host, who gave up the chair to Conan O'Brien late last year, only to take it back again (if you missed all the drama behind this, you are clearly living under a rock), is set to make his triumphant return with a slew of celebrity guests.
Some of the famous faces to watch for within the first weeks include "New Moon" and "Runaways" stars Kristen Stewart (March 10) and Dakota Fanning (March 12) and Kim Kardashian (March 11). Our faves from the cast of "Jersey Shore" (March 3), who were also regulars on Leno's ill-fated "The Jay Leno Show," are also slated to show their mugs in a “Jaywalk All-Stars” skit.
Kristen, Kim and Snooks? It's going to be hard to resist tuning in. For a full list of Jay's guests his first week, head over to his NBC homepage.
Will you be watching Jay Leno's return to the "Tonight Show"? Or you still on Team Coco?

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Something’s in the air… and it’s definitely not golf balls! Though he’s recently been on the road sans Kevin and Joe, Nick Jonas wasn’t flying solo yesterday when he picked up Selena Gomez for a round of golf in Los Angeles. Nick and Selena rolled onto the green with his and her caddies and teed off, after arriving in Nick’s Ford truck. Will this duo get the Disney ending they deserve? Hard to say if the two are officially back together and we might not know for awhile… Because judging by Selena’s album title, she doesn’t kiss and tell. But by the looks of their afternoon together, Nick has a polished game both on and off the green.
To get a closer look at Nick and Selena's "date," click on the photo above. After the jump, see who we Spotted! getting groceries!

If the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is trying to draw in a younger audience to bolster their ratings, they are certainly going about it the right way. Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron have added to the list of presenters that also includes Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. It will be Miley and Zac's second appearance at the show, and Taylor's and Kristen's first.
They are sure to be only a few of many prestigious actors presenting at the big show, but having such young bloods that are so popular with the teen crowd is a smart move. It will at least help offset the aversion created by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin — versus Andy Samberg, Jon Stewart or even Neil Patrick Harris — hosting the Oscars.
