Robert Pattinson On 'Bel Ami': 'There's A Lot Of Sex'

Chances are there aren't going to be that many sex scenes sneaking their way into "The Twilight Saga" any time soon, especially with "Breaking Dawn" stalling its way through production. Fortunately, for fans of leading man Robert Pattinson, there are going to be plenty of other options available for them in the next year.

While the intimate moments in March 12's "Remember Me" will be sure to impress and touch the hearts of audience members, Rob's upcoming 2011 drama"Bel Ami" might leave other impressions. When Rob and his "Remember Me" costar Emilie de Ravin chatted with MTV recently, he discussed the differences.

"It's incredibly different," he said. "The [sex scenes] in 'Remember Me' are pretty tender, and in 'Bel Ami' there's something very mercenary about it in a lot of ways."

It's already been announced that RPattz will be getting it on with his second blonde onscreen lady love, Uma Thurman, in "Bel Ami," but recently reports that he would be filming an orgy scene stirred a lot of talk.

"There's a lot of sex in ['Bel Ami']," Rob emphasized.

"Bel Ami" takes place in Paris in the 1890s, but Rob made clear that it wasn't your every day period piece. He said it was the time period that caused the different views on sex.

"[The film] is like the complete antithesis of what you normally think period dramas are about," he said. "In Paris, everybody was just going nuts. It was like the 1980s. Sex was a kind of a weapon and a tool, and it's odd."
