Last summer, Mischa Barton sat down with MTV News and shared that she'd totally be down for an "O.C." reunion. And, yes, she's well aware her character, Marissa Cooper, was dead, but that’s where her genius idea of bringing Marissa back as a zombie comes into play. So, when we cornered Ben McKenzie (or, uh, scheduled him for an interview to chat about his show "Southland"), we got him to weigh in on the idea. And, as it turns out, he's not too keen on it.
"What? I don't know. She can do whatever she wants," a semi-stunned Ben told us about Mischa's sort of loony idea. "I don't know that we'd really ever do an 'O.C.' movie. I think most people have moved on."
Still, while Ben is busy fighting crime on his show, it seems that he is supporting Mischa in her mission to reemerge in the O.C. as a member of the living dead. Just don’t' expect him to be as excited by the idea as she is.
"Yeah sounds great, if she wants to do that. Sounds fun for her," he said with a hint of sarcasm, adding, "Zombies? We did not get into zombies. That was going to be season five and that just didn't happen.'
Oh! See now it all makes sense! Josh Schwartz, are you listening?
