While digging through an endless amount of pictures from last night's Oscar extravaganza, we came across one sequence in particular on Getty Images (from back over on the East Coast) that struck our fancy. In photos taken today in New York City, "Gossip Girl" star Penn Badgley and a blonde girl (presumably Blake Lively) are shown walking on the street near a park. We probably wouldn't have though twice about these typical TV-show-being-filmed-in-Manhattan images, but then we realized upon closer inspection, that the blondie wasn't Blake — it's Michelle Trachtenberg!
We know that Michelle's Upper East Side alter ego Georgina Sparks has a bit of a stalker edge thanks to her crazy obsession over Penn's Dan Humphrey, but now we're wondering if she's gone completely off the deep end (paging: "Single White Female") and decided to don a blonde wig to embody Dan's former love, Serena, herself. It's a good thing "Gossip Girl" returns to TV tonight because we need answers STAT!
