Last night was Hollywood's biggest event of the year, the 82nd Annual Academy Awards and today the Twitterverse was all a-buzz with talk of the winners. Oscar's biggest shining star last night was Kathryn Bigelow, whose film "The Hurt Locker" took home the most awards, including Best Director. Kathryn's (pictured with "Hurt Locker" star Jeremy Renner) historic win garnered love from twittering celebs, who cheered on the first female director to take home Oscar, including Chaske Spencer who posted, "Congrats to Kathryn Bigelow for being the first woman to win..." and Rachel Nichols, who tweeted, "i am thrilled for Kathryn Bigelow and her film HURT LOCKER.... she deserved this!." But, our favorite tweet came from Alyson Hannigan, who made a sly nod to Kathryn's ex-husband, "Avatar" director James Cameron, writing, "Congrats to Kathryn Bigelow! She's KING OF THE WORLD!!!"
Kathryn, deservedly so, celebrated her win last night, but she certainly wasn't alone. The glamorous post-Oscar parties boast some of the hottest names in Hollywood as attendees and many of them tweeted to tell fans all about it. "Glee" stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith were at Elton John's world-famous bash, as Cory posted, " a cool night. Met Sir Elton. well, kind of. had an 'i'm not worthy!' moment nonetheless." Josh Groban told fans about his favorite Oscar party moment, "Had an awesome time at Eltons party tonight. He sets the bar for his humility and genius. Lots of money raised, good times! Highlight of the night, meeting Betty White."
